When TBS launched the British Rose range, I was one of the few who bought it only for the fragrance! Even though I personally do not like roses, I cannot resist their fragrance. I recently came across this Balea Shower Lotion in ‘Sensual Rose’. And even though I didn’t need it, I decided to buy it. Read on to know more!

My Experience with Balea Shower Lotion Sensual Rose:
The shower gel comes in a tube packaging. The product is unsealed. The pale pink background has a lot of beautiful pink roses, which makes the tube look girly, and the flip cap is also pink. The cap is pretty easy to open and it closes with a click. Thus, it is not leaky. Also, if you do not mind carrying bulky products, it can make a perfect travel companion.
The shower lotion has a gel-like consistency. It has a medium consistency and is almost white to pale pink in color. The smell is beautiful as the product smells like roses. It feels like I’m bathing with rose water. However, the scent is artificial and comes from rose perfume. The smell lingers for around 30 minutes and then fades away.
The shower gel cum lotion doesn’t lather well, but it does foam up a bit. The brand claims that it is a shower gel but I am not sure if it’s a lotion or gel. It is in between a lotion and shower gel is what I can say. I have noticed that you might need a lot of product if you have oiled your skin.
I occasionally use castor oil on my body, and due its thick and rich texture, I have to use extra product else the oil doesn’t get washed off. Since the product is a creamy lotion, it doesn’t dry out your skin. I am prone to dry flakes and a moisturizer is a life-saver for me. This product, however, keeps my dry skin problems at bay.
It soothes my skin and I hardly notice any dryness on my skin even after several hours after a bath and I love the hydration factor of this shower cream. The product doesn’t make my skin smooth, though. If I exfoliate my skin with a loofah, I can notice some softness; but when used alone, there is no smoothing effect. The product is pH neutral and doesn’t cause any skin issue or redness.
I have used the product even after a waxing session and it didn’t irritate my skin. The product is very lightweight and gentle on the skin. It doesn’t contain alcohol, paraben or aluminum salts. The quality is very superior. You can blindly pick this product without any thoughts but don’t forget that the product contains SLS as the second most ingredient.
