This is my first lipstick from the bareMinerals Pretty Amazing lip color range. This range has been around for quite some time, but I am sure it will catch everyone’s fancy again since liquid lipsticks are back in trend. So, read on to find out more about the shade “Bravado” from this range.

My Experience with bareMinerals Bravado Pretty Amazing Lip Color:
Packaging: This lipstick comes in a black opaque tube with a band at the bottom which shows the color of the lipstick. The packaging is simple yet looks classy. The cap screws on and hence there is no danger of the cap coming off loose.
The applicator is a standard doe foot one. It makes the application easy and precise.
Shade/Pigmentation: “Bravado” is a gorgeous berry brown shade. It is a lovely warm shade which will look good on most skin tones. I personally loved the shade as it is not too bright or attention seeking and can be easily worn to work to office or on other formal occasions. The lipstick is strongly pigmented and covers the lips in a single swipe. It does not clump when layered nor did I notice any feathering.
Texture, Finish, Lasting Power: This lipstick has a thick creamy consistency like most other liquid lipsticks. It glides on the lips effortlessly and feels plush like velvet. The finish is a glossy one and it does not dry down matte. It does settle down a bit but remains slightly wet throughout its wear. It does not highlight any dry patches or settle into lip lines.
However, the downside is that it transfers pretty easily and does not last a whole meal. On its own, it stays for around 4 hours or so. It does not leave any stain behind.
To summarize, this is a good liquid lipstick to own if you do not mind the low staying power. To call it “Pretty Amazing” will be a bit of a stretch though 😛

Yes, I would recommend if you do not mind low staying power. I will not repurchase the same shade but might try other shades from the range.
