Faces Ultime Pro Long Wear Matte Lipstick in Pretty Me Review

I guess most of us have tried at least one shade from this Faces Ultime Pro Long Wear Matte lipstick range. These were one of the best matte lipsticks that I had ever tried. These are the kind of lipsticks that can never go wrong. While I was at the Faces cosmetic counter a few days back, I spotted three newly-launched shades in this already existing Ultime Pro Matte range. I managed to get only one shade from them and how I wish that they keep launching more bright shades in this range every few months.  So today, I will be reviewing one of the new shdes from this range – Faces Ultime Pro Longwear Lipstick in the shade Pretty Me.

My Experience with Faces Ultime Pro Long Wear Matte Lipstick in Pretty Me:

Faces Ultime Pro Longwear Lipstick comes in a long cylindrical matte black casing. The body of the lipstick tube is made of plastic, making the packaging very lightweight. The name of the lipstick is written in bold white letters on the tube body. The lipstick has a color-coded sticker with the shade name on one end of the tube. The matte black packaging is sleek, sturdy and attractive and the cap shuts with a click ensuring that the lipstick is tightly shut making it travel friendly.

“Pretty Me” is a gorgeous bright pink shade with absolutely no shimmer or sheen. Initially, I thought this lip color was similar to the shade “Bold,” but after comparing the two shades, I realized Pretty Me is a bright blue-based pink colour and Bold is a coral based pink. This is a bright shade and not neon, so you can comfortably wear this shade without the fear of it looking over the top.  This pink shade will suit all skin tones beautifully.

The texture of this lipstick is soft and smooth yet not overtly creamy and buttery. It glides effortlessly on the lips without any pulling or tugging. On initial application, the lipstick has a creamy finish on the lips, but settles down to a matte finish within a few minutes.  Since it’s a matte finish lipstick, you have to thoroughly exfoliate your lips before you apply this lip color, otherwise it will settle in the dry flaky areas of the lips and give a parched appearance.

Pretty Me is super pigmented, one swipe is all you need to get a rich opaque colour, that covers up any pigmentation of the lips. The color lasts for a good 6-7 hours, but stains the lips heavily and the stain wears throughout the day. You have to use a makeup remover and rub your lips hard to get the stain off your lips.

Overall, Faces Ultime Pro Long Wear Lipstick in the shade Pretty Me is a gorgeous bright pink lip colour, that will look good on all skin tones. It is super pigmented and lasts long. If you are a pink lipstick lover, then you should definitely try this shade. I’m sure you’ll love it!!!
