I recently picked some products from the brand “Beauty Formulas.” They also had these wipes that looked super cute to me. I have tried nail polish remover pads before and have liked them, so I thought I might as well give these wipes a try.
Rs. 175 for 10 individually wrapped wipes.
My Experience with Beauty Formulas Acetone Free Nail Polish Remover Wipes:
These wipes come individually wrapped in a cardboard box. The back side of the packaging reveals a lot of information about the wipes. The packaging is convenient to use and super handy. You can just remove one or two wipes in your bag to remove polish on the move.
The wipe is a regular one, rectangular in shape, and made of soft white material. The first wipe I removed was completely dry, there wasn’t any product on the wipe to remove the polish. Disappointed and kind of annoyed, I tore open the next wipe, and luckily, it was a bit wet with the liquid. It wasn’t dripping wet, but just a tad bit wet. It takes a lot of time to remove the nail polish.
You really have to rub quite a lot until all the polish gets off the nails. The liquid that coats the wipe is slightly oily in nature, exactly like those local-branded wipes. It helps to moisturise your nails and cuticles well. Also, this doesn’t leave my nails dry due to the oil content. I will always prefer the local wet wipes because they come at half the price compared to this one and two, they have many more variants. :p Also, they work the same way and you get a lot more wipes which aren’t dry like these ones.
These wipes smell of grapes and I kind of like the fragrance, but it is overwhelming to some extent. The fragrance lingers for a very long time or until you wash your hand with soap. It might be a big con for those of you who prefer mild fragrances. Also, one wipe is enough to remove nail polish of both hands and there’s still some space left to remove paint from a few more nails.
Summing up the pros and cons:
Pros of Beauty Formulas Acetone Free Nail Polish Remover Wipes:
- Cute, handy packaging.
- One wipe is sufficient for both hands.
- Nice fragrance.
- Moisturises the nails and cuticles.
Cons of Beauty Formulas Acetone Free Nail Polish Remover Wipes:
- A bit expensive.
- Some of the wipes are completely dry.
- Strong fragrance that lingers.
- Takes a lot of time to remove nail polish.
I wouldn’t recommend these wipes and surely wouldn’t repurchase either.
