My Experience with Becca Guava/Moonstone Beach Tint Shimmer Souffle:

Packaging:  This product comes in a small tub which is TINY ! like the size of an eyeshadow pot. Considering how much these little blushes cost, I do feel it is overpriced and expensive. The tub packaging does make for easy application but you do have to dip your fingers or brush in it to use which can seem a bit unhygienic and also you have to be careful to close them quickly after use as prolonged exposure to air can dry them out.

Texture:  I love the texture of these blushes. They are very airy, spongy/cushion-y and if you press them hard, that might cause a dent. Hence you have to be careful just to skim the surface. The texture feels super lightweight and is easy to blend without going streaky. I find that using the fingertips is best if you want to go heavy or use a stippling brush for a sheer look on the skin.

Shade:  The shade “Guava/Moonstone” is basically the blush shade “Guava” mixed with the highlight shade “Moonstone.” Both of them are available individually to buy in the Becca line, but using this pre-mixed product makes for such a quick and easy application.

The shade “Guava/Moonstone” is described as a coral infused with pale gold. This is a very beautiful warm-toned summery shade. I love how this shade gives the perfect amount of glow to the cheeks without being too shimmery. It looks very natural and perfect for everyday wear. This shade will suit most skin tones, but deeper skin tones may have difficulty getting this shade to show up on their skin.

Pigmentation:  This shade is actually the least pigmented out of the 3 shades I own. I have to build it up in 2-3 layers for it to show up on with intensity on my skin. I am someone who likes the look of blush and like them to look visible and apparent on my skin hence the sheerness of these blushes is something I am not a huge fan of. The plus here is that this blush does layer and build on itself quite easily without feeling too heavy or greasy.

Feel and look on skin:  These go on with a crème finish without any tackiness or greasiness. They feel very lightweight on the skin. The shimmers don’t travel all over my face and are so fine that they are hardly detectable on their own. It gives a wonderfully luminous glow to the skin which I love.

Staying Power:  Since this particular shade is very sheer, it has average staying power on my skin. Becca claims that these blushes are like a tint on the skin which is waterproof and long wearing, but this particular shade showed fading in 5-6 hours on my skin. I can stretch the staying power if I apply this blush heavily.

Fragrance:  These blushes have a faint fruity scent which I like.

Overall, I absolutely love the spongy texture, the whipped formula, and the beautiful range of colors these blushes come in. I won’t particularly go for this shade as it is quite sheer, but the other two shades I am quite happy with. I like the glowy, natural-looking nature of these blushes and these are some of the best available in the market. I will recommend this blush to all of you beauties out there.

Cons of Becca Guava/Moonstone Beach Tint Shimmer Souffle:

  • Sheer but buildable pigmentation, for those who like their blushes to be strongly pigmented and very apparent on your skin, you will not like these.
  • This particular shaded is the sheerest of the bunch.
  • Deeper shades might have difficulty getting this shade to show up.
  • Very expensive for the tiny size, considering it is whipped, so most of it is air.
