Blisscovered Box: January Edition
Yey, so finally I got my Blisscovered Box  and I am going to share with you what all I received in my goodie box.
The Blisscovered box is a light lavender-colored box which is quite sturdy. The products are wrapped inside a dark violet paper.
I got a total of 5 products which include:
- Forest Essentials Bath and Shower Oil (50 ml).
- Lancome Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate (5 ml).
- Diesel Loverdose Perfume (1.5 ml).
- Clarins White Plus HP Clear Softening Peeling Gentle Renewing Lotion (30 ml).
- Omved Mint Lip Balm (full size).
I also got a Rs. 300 voucher and a product details sheet.
Did I Get a Customized Blisscovered Box?
First of all, I had heard from a lot of friends that they had received hair oil in their boxes and I was very disappointed because I have stopped using hair oils long ago since they tend to give me terrible headaches, but thankfully, the Blisscovered team has sent out customized boxes according to the data filled and that’s why I did not receive any hair product :happydance:
Also, I have heard that actually three different variety of fragrances were sent out depending upon the age group of the customer, but since most bloggers fall in the “young” category, many ended up getting Diesel’s Loverdose’s sample, the fragrance is pretty good, I would say!
Also, I had mentioned about “skin brightening” in my form, so I got Clarins Softening and Peeling Gentle Renewing Lotion and Lancome Youth Activating Concentrate.
Omved balm is a full-sized product. This lip balm has come at a correct time because the winters have somewhat made a comeback here, so I am going to use this!!
Blisscovered Box: Is It Worth the Money?
I calculated an approximate cost of the box’s products based on their sizes and I realized that the amount is much more than Rs. 700, so I think, if you want to try a particular product before getting the full-sized one, its really worth it.
Are the Blisscovered Samples Enough For Trial Purpose?
I would say “yes” because the samples are customized based on how much of each product is required to show desired results. For example, since Lancome Genifique is a concentrate, it would only be required in a small amount when applied to the affected area to show the results, hence the 5 ml. I think if you really want to test the product’s efficacy, try to use it on a problematic area on your face over 7 or 10 days, and try to see whether it is showing results. If you try it all over your face, it wouldn’t last you for even 3 days.
On the other hand, Clarins Softening Peeling Renewing Lotion is provided in a 30 ml bottle and you can use that for the entire face for more than a week. So, by that time, you would be able to determine whether it works for you.
Same is the case with Diesel perfume, its quite a small sample, but quite enough to know whether its “your” perfume or not. Also, you can just throw into your handbag and would be good enough for quick spritz. :balle:
Forest Essentials Bath and Shower Oil with Honey and Vanilla is a 50 ml lotion and enough so that one takes a liking to it.
Omved Balm is a full-sized product and quite good too.
Comparing the size of the products with Lakme’s Nail Polish!
Now, for the group photo, say “Cheese”
Why I Think Blisscovered Would Work For Me:
Personally speaking, all the products that I have in this box are things which I am going to use on a daily basis. There is not even one product that I would keep aside because I can’t use it “right now.” I am an impulsive buyer and I spend obnoxious amount of money buying full-sized costly products which I dump into my cupboard once I find out that they are not working for me. I can’t even begin to tell you how many times I have been disappointed wasting my money on costly skin care products that were “not my type.” This way, I just spend Rs. 700 per month to find out whether certain products are suitable for my skin type/effective for skin problems. For example, I have an inkling that I am going to buy a full-sized version of the Clarins Renewing Lotion because I think it is going to work for me. Also, I have taken a liking to the Forest Essentials shower oil and might order a full-sized one. Also, its highly unlikely that I would travel 50 km to the stores and try asking for samples, hence this idea works for me.
Discounts and Vouchers:
I got Rs. 300 voucher to be redeemed when I purchase my full-sized product costing over Rs. 1000 and also there is a coupon code that gives Rs. 100 off when you purchase a product over Rs. 500. While going through the product details sent along with the box, I saw that Clarins Renewing Lotion is labelled Rs. 1800 for Blisscovered members, whereas originally, it costs around Rs. 2000 for 125 ml, which means, if I am planning to buy Clarins Renewing Lotion, I would only have to shell Rs. 1500 (Rs. 1800 – Rs. 300 voucher) and I think that’s a great deal.
I think there should be a provision in blisscovered’s site that would allow me to alter my preferences whenever I desire. I checked and I couldn’t find that option, if someone knows that it exists, please let me know, because in the future, I would like to get a makeup item or two in my box.
Will I Subscribe Again?
Overall, I am quite happy with the Blisscovered box and I am game to see what’s in store for me in the February box. :happydance:
