Skin-type: Combination and acne-prone
Aroma Magic, a few months ago launched their new serums for skin and hair. They seemed pretty good and there was a lot of excitement to try these. I picked up 2 to try; one for acne and one for skin lightening. Serums are very under-rated in the Indian industry so I wanted to review this section to contribute to the fullest. So here I am with the “skin lightening” variant! I am done using this one and currently using the other variant. Scroll to see how it worked for me.
Price: Rs 750 for 30 ml

My Experience with Blossom Kochhar Aroma Magic Skin Lightening Serum:
Packaging: The skin lightening serum comes in a bright deep coral coloured box with the name written over it. And it contains the fat serum bottle. I loved the packaging which looks so cute and colourful. The box on all the side mentions each and every detail very nicely. The serum comes in a see-through bottle with the red label on it. I can keep a check on the quantity being used up. It has a very nice pump nozzle which dispenses a limited amount only. The bottle is very handy and the cap shuts with a click. The price is extremely high for the things that it does for my skin. It is just not worth spending 750 bucks on a serum like this.
Consistency, smell and feel on the skin: The consistency is like a serum; neither very thick nor extremely runny. It is transparent and goes very smooth and gentle on my face. It is really easy to massage and gets absorbed pretty quickly in my skin. But this does not have any such noticeable smell and I don’t know why. Serums are always great with some scent. Also when I smell, it smells very weird to me. I hope it actually contains some serum and not just water because it just looks and feels like plain water to me.
Results: I don’t know where to start. In-fact I don’t have a lot to say about this product because it did not do anything for my skin at all. I wish they had tested this on their own skin before releasing it in the market because charging a high price for water is just so bad. It did not work on my skin neither on my dark circles as claimed. I could just see my skin look a bit fresh the following morning but nothing more than that. My skin-tone was the same, my tan was the same and my dark circles were the same too.
Pros of Blossom Kochhar Aroma Magic Skin Lightening Serum:
• Cute and attractive packaging.
• Very handy with a pump nozzle.
• Great consistency which is very gentle on the skin.
• Does not irritate my skin.
• My skin looks fresh the following morning.
Cons of Blossom Kochhar Aroma Magic Skin Lightening Serum:
• Very expensive for 30 ml (because it doesn’t work).
• No skin lightening (it does not even get rid of tanned skin).
• No even skin-tone.
• No effects on dark circles.
• My skin looks the same in every way.
• It feels just like water on my skin; water would give me the same results.
• They have this marketing strategy to use it with their products.
• Weird smell.
IMBB Rating: 2/5
Will I Recommend/Repurchase Blossom Kochhar Aroma Magic Skin Lightening Serum?
No not at all. These serums are not worth spending on. I wish they made something good for such a high price.
Conclusion: These serums really disappointed me. Totally useless!
