Today I am reviewing products from pink family. Love l loved and some I hated. Read these mini reviews to know more. 🙂Bobbi Brown Rich Lip SPF 12 Color Desert Rose
- Price : : Rs 1290
- Finish : semi matte
- Color : a heather rose / a beautiful rose pink
- Texture : Super smooth. Not too hydrating, neither drying. Does not bleed or settle in fine lines
- Longevity : around 4 + hours on me and then fades evenly to a light pink stain.
- Pigmentation : opaque.
- Goes Best With : light day time makeup or a smokey eye with desert rose on lips would also look nice. I personally like to wear it with a warm pink blush. I feel the lipstick co-ordinates with the blush color really well and gives that freshness to the face.
- Skin Tones : light to medium. Excellent for Indian skin tones
- Fragrance : none
- Do I like It? Love it. It’s such a beautiful everyday color. No fuss, just soft easy to work color that makes your lips look good and protects them as well. 🙂
- Rating : 5/5
MAC Blush Desert Rose :
- Price : Rs 1100
- Finish : matte
- Color : soft reddish burgundy / a soft pink with reddish undertones.
- Texture : smooth , goes on evenly and blends easily.
- Longevity : stays for goo 7 + hours on me
- Pigmentation : very pigmented and buildable as well.
- Goes Best With : all pink lipsticks.
- Skin Tones : Medium to dusky. But those with light skin tones can also try it. however, you’d have to use a lighter hand at using it.
- Fragrance : NA
- Do I like It? I don’t know why I took so long to review it. It’s a beautiful blush. Especially for medium to dusky skin tones it is such a flattering color. A MUST try.

I am wearing Desert Rose lipstick in all the pics in this post.
In pan, Breath of Plum and Desert Rose look very similar. But Breath of plum has more mauve undertones and Desert rose is warmer and has reddish undertones.

MAC Lipglass Girl About Town
- Price : Rs 990
- Finish : glossy
- Color : Bright Blue fuchsia / a bright blue based fuchsia pink with golden and silver micro shimmers. The shimmers are not visible when applied and they are not gritty at all.
- Texture : Lipglasses are thick and sticky lip glosses.The stickiness give them the long staying power. If you are looking for non sticky lip glosses, MAC Lipglasses are not for you.
- Longevity : 4 + hours on me. But when worn on its own it disappears completely after a full meal.
- Pigmentation : Semi opaque
- Goes Best With : soft eye makeup / pink blushes.
- Skin Tones : light to medium
- Fragrance : Vanilla
- Do I like It? As much as I love MAC Girl about Town Lipstick, I love the lipglass as well. Compared to the lipstick, the lipglass is slightly less blue /cool. This is beautifully pigmented and can be worn on its own. But I suggest that you a pair it with a bright pink lipstick and it looks even better.

MAC Lipstick Saint Germain : Reviewing the most horrible lipstick of 2013/ 2014. And I have been able to wear it only in the confinements of my closed room. 😛 I seriously didn’t have the heart to post a pic of me wearing this but I had to show it to you. 😛
- Price : Rs 990
- Finish : creamy / amplified
- Color : Clean Pastel Pink / a cool toned pastel lilac pink.
- Texture : smooth but has a tendency to settle in fine lines.
- Longevity : 4 hours and it fades so weirdly…all patchy and settled in fine lines.
- Pigmentation : Opaque
- Goes Best With : I don’t know what and why would want to wear such a shade.
- Skin Tones : very pale/ light skin tones
- Fragrance : Vanilla
- Do I like It? Hate It! Atleast for my skin-tone, I haven’t used a worse shade than this.

This reminds me so much of the MAC Lip and cheek cream in tickle me pink … I call this effect (light lipsticks on yellow skin tones) the Niki Minaj look 😛
