I am so excited to share my first review here on IMBB. I have been a fan of the The Body Shop body butters, and recently I purchased its mango body butter and lip butter. I must tell you that you must give both of them a try. The body butter is amazing with a lovely and strong fragrance. I actually purchased one gift combo which included mango body butter (50 ml) + mango lip butter (10 ml) and I purchased mango body butter (100 ml) separately.
Today, I will be reviewing TBS Mango Lip Butter. Here all details are about Mango Lip Butter retailed by The Body Shop.
6 $ for 8.5 gm.

My Experience with The Body Shop Mango Lip Butter:
For summers, I do not prefer greasy heavy formula, I was eyeing lip balms with light formula and I came across The Body Shop Mango Lip Butter and it is perfect. It instantly treats my chapped lips and hydrates them without making them greasy. It just feels as if you are applying butter to your lips. Shea butter, beeswax and Mango made me buy this lip butter. It is named correctly as butter and not balm. It glides on smoothly and has a slight sweet taste to it. It has a smell as of glucose (:P ), which fades away after two minutes of application. I have a habit of moisturizing my lips every hour or two. I cannot survive with chapped lips. I keep them moisturized with balms even in summers, also no matter how moisturizing a lipstick is, I never forget to use a balm underneath. So, I can fairly say I am an addict to balms or lip guards. While talking about TBS mango lip butter I found it moisturizing but only up to few hours say one or two maybe after that I kind of felt dryness on my lips. This possibly could be because of its light buttery formula. This is totally okay with me as I am used to applying balms every hour.
It comes in a plastic tub of mango color and has light cream-ish yellow colored product in it. I need to dip my fingers two or three times to get the desired quantity. The tub seems to be of good quality and there is no problem in opening or closing the cap. Even in summers, the product does not melt and is as soft as body butters and not so hard that you need to make some efforts to get it out for application.
Pros of The Body Shop Mango Lip Butter:
- Instantly treats chapped lips.
- Moisturizes lips with its buttery formula.
- Slight sweet taste.
- Fragrance fades away within minutes.
- Makes lips soft and smooth.
Cons of The Body Shop Mango Lip Butter:
- A bit pricey.
- It does not have the same exotic scent as of Mango Body Butter.
- Average staying power. After one hour, lips tends to feel dry.
