Borghese B Lip gloss in Charme Naturale Review
Asalamolaikum, Amigo and Hello Beauties! 🙂 Happy New Year to all of you with lots of prayers and wishes.
I am here today with a review from a brand called Borghese; which was new to me and many of you might be unaware of the brand. Borghese is a USA based brand and one of my friend gifted me these lip glosses, when she made a trip to USA. Let’s find out more.
Product Description: (from website)
Glossy. Glassy. Luminous color-watt coverage that deposits the perfect blend of pigment and pearl for shimmer and shine that redefines luster. Emollient and rich this is a gloss that can go it alone or finish a look.
Price:
$19 for 0.21oz. She got them for me on $8 each during Black Friday sales. I will be reviewing few more shades soon.
My Take on Borghese B Lipgloss-Charme Naturale:
Packaging: These lip glosses come in simple tubular packaging with a doe-foot applicator which is really functional. I simply love the slanted tip of the applicator, which gives a flawless application on my lips in no time. The tube is light weight, closes tight and travel-friendly.
Texture, pigmentation and finish: The texture is thick and creamy, but easily workable. The only thing is that it is somewhat sticky, but still not too irritating. This is a treat for nut lovers as it is strongly infused with roasted almond fragrance, but it doesn’t linger on for long and vanishes the next minute after application. The gloss spreads easily, thanks to the applicator’s design with creating a mess on. Around 4 brush refills complete the look; two for lower lip and two for upper lip.
It doesn’t bleed or smear at all. The pigmenting quality is purely average and opacity is on the translucent and sheer side, so this won’t provide much of coverage for pigmented lips. It doesn’t contain shimmer particles and the finish is lustrous, shiny and glossy. As product description says, they are glossy and glassy; yes may be they have stolen the idea of MAC lip-glasses and have definitely succeeded in that. The lip gloss is perfectly and superbly moisturizing for lips. The pigmentation of colour on the lips fades sooner, but it keeps the lips moisturized for 4 hours even after I take a light meal.
Colour: The shade is very natural and perfect for office and no-makeup looks. It is a pink brown shade which gives a slight hint of mauve due to sheer opacity.
Longevity and transferability: Oh! Here comes the bad part; lasting time which is really poor. The colour fades away from lips in half an hour, leaving behind a trace of the shade. However, the superb miniaturisation will keep reminding you to apply the lip gloss. Luckily, it doesn’t transfer to cutlery.
Pros of Borghese B Lip gloss in Charme Naturale:
- Lovely pink brown everyday and office shade.
- Will do well with smoky eye looks.
- The lip gloss is a winner in moisturizing race.
- Thick and creamy texture.
- Functional applicator.
- Sheer coverage and lustrous finish.
- No shimmer particles.
- No bleeding, no smearing andn transferability.
- Roasted almond fragrance.
Cons of Borghese B Lip gloss in Charme Naturale:
- Average pigmentation.
- Poor longevity.
- No hint about the ingredients.
IMBB Rating:
3.9/5
Would I repurchase/recommend Borghese B Lip gloss in Charme Naturale?
I really like these lip glosses but firstly, they are not available here locally, so I can’t repurchase them. For recommendation, if you get them on sale then there is no harm in choosing few shades, but too costly for regular $19 price.
