Ameen.  Today, I am here with a shade from the Borghese B Lip gloss range – simply named “Fucsia” or is it fuchsia.  I am loving these glosses nowadays.  They give a lip glass effect and keeps my lips moisturized for several hours in harsh weather. Ok ok, we are moving to the review.

Product Description:

Glossy. Glassy. Luminous color-watt coverage that deposits the perfect blend of pigment and pearl for shimmer and shine that redefines luster. Emollient and rich this is a gloss that can go it alone or finish a look.

Price:

$19 for 0.21oz. My friend purchased these for me for $8 each during the Black Friday sales. I have got 4 shades, out of which one is yet to be unsealed.

My Experience with Borghese B Fucsia Lip Gloss:

Packaging:  The packaging of these lip glosses is fairly simple and under-rated if we look at the big price tag. They aren’t as glamorous and high quality as MAC lip glasses though the price is same.  Anyway, this gloss comes in a round tube with a black cap and minimum description on the tube. I have become a fan of the slanted tip doe-foot applicator.  This tube is lightweight, sturdy, closes tight, and is also travel safe.

Texture, Pigmentation, and Finish:  First of all, you will love the fragrance if you do not have a sensitive nose.  It smells strongly of roasted nuts, precisely roasted almonds and takes you into a different world of caramel-nut fragrances. The fragrance vanishes in no time after application. Moving on to the texture, it’s thick, creamy, and slightly sticky. Actually, this somewhat sticky feel is the base behind the heavy moisturizing effect of the lip gloss.

The lip gloss on its own keeps my lips soft and moisturized for at least four hours, even with tea breaks and small meals in between. The pigmentation is fairly good for this shade, but the colour fades in an hour though the luster and moisture remains intact on the lips. So re-application will be purely for colour deposition, not because of any dry or chapped feel on the lips.  The coverage is sheer and glassy as the product description explains it. The slanted doe foot makes life easier, the application is smear free and easy.  The lip gloss remains inside lip outlines with no bleeding.

Colour:  The shade name is fuchsia but I found it nowhere near to the fuchsia shade. Instead of being pink, it’s sheer and red-pink sort of shade. Even for the color to show up on lips, two swipes are required.

Longevity:  They don’t transfer much to spoons, mugs, glasses, etc. Longevity is disappointing; even without a meal, the colour disappears in 30 minutes leaving behind ample moisture on the lips, which lasts till wee hours.

Pros of Borghese B Fucsia Lip Gloss:

• A sheer reddish pink shade.
• Provides excellent moisture to lips.
• Lips feel moisturized for 4 hours, surviving a meal.
• Thick and creamy texture.
• No shimmer particles; just glassy lustre finish.
• No bleeding, no smearing, does not transfer much.
• Nutty and roasted almond fragrance.
• Great doe-foot applicator.

Cons of Borghese B Fucsia Lip Gloss:

• Average pigmentation.
• Sheer coverage.
• Poor longevity.
• No hint about the ingredients.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Borghese B Fucsia Lip Gloss?

I expected it to be a fuchsia color, it disappointed me, and I have no reason to go back and repurchase.  They are good when on sale; without sale, paying $19 for this lip gloss is not a wise decision.
