My Experience with Burberry Pomegranate Pink No. 413 Lip Velvet:
The packaging of the lipstick is classy. The lipstick tube comes housed in a cardboard box. The box bears some necessary product-related information on it. The lipstick tube is matte charcoal grey in color, which looks purely luxurious. The tube bears the brand’s tagline embossed on it at the base.
The tube has a sticker at the bottom bearing the shade number and name on it. The lipstick tube has gorgeous pattern on it and the lipstick tube closes with a nice magnetic closure. The lipstick bullet also bears some beautiful patterns engraved on it, which adds more beauty to this gorgeous lipstick. Overall, the packaging is just to die for. I am head over heels in love with the packaging of this beauty. What to say more!
Being an all-time matte lipstick lover, I keep hunting for matte formulas more rather than crème or glossy finish ones. This is why I decided to try out lipsticks from this range from Burberry. I am an all-time crazy coral lipstick lover. I always hunt for subtle coral lip colors, that’s why I picked “Pomegranate Pink.”
The shade “Pomegranate Pink” is a beautiful coral pink shade without any shimmer. The shade is just so beautiful and looks amazing on my medium to fair skin tone. The color is not too bright and can be worn any time of the day. This is a perfect summery shade and I am head-over-heels in love with the color. This lipstick does not have an ultra matte finish, rather it sets to a soft, velvety kind of finish.
It has a subtle shine when it is freshly applied and later it sets to a soft, velvety matte finish. The formula is amazingly pigmented, which gives bold and opaque coverage in just two swipes. The color payoff is just amazing and it hides pigmentation of my lips nicely, giving a perfect opaque finish. The lipstick does not have any significant smell to it. I could barely sniff a faint vanilla fragrance, which is absolutely not bothersome.
The texture of the lipstick is dreamy. It is super soft and smooth. This lipstick is uber creamy and glides on the lips like a dream. It feels ultra light and comfortable on the lips. The formula is extremely moisturizing and hydrating that I do not need any lip balm even after hours of application. My lips never feel dry with this lipstick. The formula is amazing for those with dry lips. The lipstick does not smear or feather even upon layering. It never settles into the fine lines of my lips. I really cannot find any cons in this lipstick. The only con is its transferring formula.
Being creamy in nature, the lipstick easily transfers to mugs and goblets. But, I really don’t mind that, as I already love this madly. It does clings to the dry patches of the lips and highlights them, so it is necessary to keep the lips properly exfoliated and moisturized but it is a basic rule for every matte lip color, so it is actually not a con.
The longevity of the lipstick is somewhere around 6 hours on my lips with constant sipping of water and little snacking. Overall, I just love this lipstick.
