My Experience with Catrice All Round Cover Stick:

I got this cover stick with the idea in my mind that it is going to be convenient to apply and use it on my face as it’s in a stick form. I can easily twist the stick and apply it on the area I want to use. The concept of concealing my under-eye area and blemishes with a stick excites me the most. I’ve used this stick a couple of times and I quite like this sort of a makeup product.

This product is available in three shades – a super light shade for fairer skin tones, a n*de shadem and this particular shade which I have picked “Sand.” The lightest shade among these three is available only in a few stores whereas the other two can be easily purchased.

The makeup stick is creamy in texture and glides easily on the skin without any fuss. Moreover, it blends well into skin without leaving any patch afterwards. If you pick up the right shade, it won’t look cakey on teh skin, but it may settle into fine lines. To ease this problem, setting it with a loose powder is a must for my under eyes. I usually glide the stick in my under-eye area and on blemishes, and blend it well with a Beauty Blender, that way it works fine for me. It is a medium coverage formula which works better in hiding blemishes.

However, I find Maybelline Under-eye concealer works the best for my dark circles. I haven’t found any other concealer better than this yet. I find this particular shade a little dark for my skin tone. The shade n*de may work fine for neutral skin tones and “Sand 030” may work fine for people with wheatish skin tone. I have no major skin issues and the only two things that bother me are my dark circles and light pigmentation on my cheeks. So, I can’t really comment on how this would work on red spots and dark spots. I feel using a skin correcting concealer would be a better option for them.

I also some time set this as a base for priming my eyelids and it helps in getting even skin tone and works wonderfully in holding the eyeshadow for a longer time. What I like the most about this cover stick is that it doesn’t smudge out when my skin sweats. It stays in place for a long time, so the staying power is really great. When I try to apply the cover stick under my eye, it doesn’t feel sticky or heavy. Even though the texture is creamy, I feel it has a matte finish and may not be suitable for people with dry skin. Also, it is quite affordable but availability in India may be an issue.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Catrice All Round Cover Stick?
I may repurchase a lighter shade again as this particular shade is a little darker for my skin tone. I feel this shade works fine for my skin tone but a lighter shade may work even better. I also recommend this if you are looking out for an affordable cover stick. People with dry skin should look for something which is hydrating, this product is not for them.
