Catrice Glossy Lipglow Review

Catrice has come up with a new lip gloss which is transparent to look but claims to change color when applied on lips. The color to which it turns is supposed to be based on the pH level of lips. I couldn’t wait to try after reading about it. Read on find out how it worked on me.

INDIVIDUAL COLOUR REACTION
The transparent texture of the Glossy Lip Glow turns into a soft pink to fuchsia shade upon application. How come? The colour varies depending on the pH-value of the lips, creating totally individual colour results. The intensity of the colour can be increased with repeated application.

My Experience with Catrice Glossy Lipglow:

The packaging is similar to other lip glosses. It comes in a transparent tube container and the product is also transparent by itself. It has a wand and an applicator at the end of the wand. The applicator is pink in color and feels extremely soft on the lips. I loved the feel of application.The applicator wand is sturdy and gives full control of application.

The product is fragrance free. It didn’t cause any kind of irritation to my lips. The product is definitely not moisturizing but doesn’t leave the lips very dry.

I applied the product and waited to see what color it turns out to be. I didn’t eat or drink for almost an hour to see the results. But guess what, nothing happened. Color wise there was no change. I couldn’t see my lips turning pink. Not even slightly. I applied more than one coat but still no results.

I was kind of disappointed with the result and hence tried it on lipstick. I was amazed to see the results. It instantly turned my lips with normal lipstick in to glossy luscious lips. My lips looked at its best. I totally loved the result. It was like a magic wand to convert any lipstick to WOW!

The product has no shimmer or glitter particles. I personally don’t prefer glittery or shimmery lips. The glossy effect lasted for around 2 hours or little more. I had to reapply to get back the WOW effect.

The best part, the lip gloss applicator didn’t get stained when applied over the lipstick. This way my applicator will not affect when applied on different colored lipstick.
