Rouge Coco Shine formula is one of Chanel’s oldest formulation which everyone seems to love. I wanted to love them so much but there wasn’t enough pigment to suit me. The majority of coco shines were too sheer and I didn’t want to spend so much money on a sheer lipstick. I would rather opt for a drugstore brand for a sheer lipstick, but when I was at the Delhi airport last year, I saw that there were certain shades that were added to “Rouge Coco Shine” range with intensified pigments. The shade that grabbed my attention instantly was “Rendezvous.”

My Experience with Chanel 87 Rendez-Vous Rouge Coco Shine Hydrating Sheer Lip Shine:
The packaging of Chanel lipsticks is very classy, elegant and simple, with black and gold combination. This lipstick case is a slim tube with a round, slant tip bullet. The Chanel logo is engraved on the top of the lipstick cap and the shade name is printed at the bottom of the tube.
All Chanel makeup products have the same rose powdery scent to them and that might bother some people who do not like fragrance in their products.
“Rendez-Vous” is described as an intense blue pink color, but to me, it’s quite a medium and subtle blue-based pink with a luminous sheen.
The texture of Chanel Coco Shine lipstick is quite balmy. This particular shade is very pigmented and needs only one swipe for a sheer wash of colour and a few more to build up into a solid colour. It feels very hydrating on the lips and has a glossy finish to it.
This lipstick feels very lightweight on the lips. The formula is smooth and glides on effortlessly. It feels as if you are applying butter on your lips.
The lasting power is not that great, just 2 to 3 hours on me it stays, but that’s fine considering that this is a glossy formulation, but it does leave a pretty pink stain behind.
Chanel is a luxury brand and I don’t like to spend that much money on a sheer lipstick but I find I don’t have anything similar in this shade, so it’s quite a unique color, and hence so worth the money that I paid. It’s very hydrating on the lips and doesn’t make my lips dry.
