Hello everybody
My warm greeting to all the readers out here.
So I am back with checkered nail art tutorial. This time I am going to do a nail art tutorial for short nails. This is going to be super easy and super fun.
All you girls are going to need here is
- Your favorite nail paint
- A black liquid eyeliner/a black nail art pen
- Base coat
- Top gloss coat
If you don’t have a base coat and top coat, use a clear nail polish for both the steps.
So let’s get started.
Step 1.
Apply the base coat, let it dry.
Step 2.
Apply the nail paint of your choice. Let it dry.
Step 3.
Repeat with the second coat of the nail paint. Let it dry.
Step 4.
Grab your black eyeliner or nail art pen and draw three vertical lines with the liner on your nail.
Step 5.
Now draw three horizontal lines crossing the previous vertical lines.
Now we will get a criss-cross pattern.
Step 6.
Now start filling in the alternate boxes, just as you would have seen or made ina typical mehandi design pattern.
Follow a shown in pictures.
Let it dry completely. This is really important; otherwise the liner would smudge and destroy the pattern.
Step 7.
Now top it with the top gloss coat. This will seal in the design. Leave it to dry.
Alternatively you can use any color you like. I have tried some and will like you to show the same.
NOTE:
Q: Why we need a base coat?
A: It’s for two main purposes
(1) It helps in smooth application of nail paint. If you have uneven nail or ridges on your nails, the base coat will flow into those and will provide a smooth surface for the application of your nail paint.
(2) It helps nail paint to stay longer, prevents yellowing of nails from usage of bad nail polishes and peeling off.
