Colorbar Limited Edition Collection Lipstick – Gorgeous Nude

How do we look at a lipstick and then just feel, “I’ve got to buy this one!” especially after checking out all the wonderful reviews on IMBB. In fact with me, the stuff I see literally haunts me till I buy it! But we just don’t know the potential of the things that we already own and the many ways that we can use them.
One such need of a multi-way product is a nude lip color. Today’s review is of Colorbar Limited Edition Lip Color in Gorgeous Nude. Now, there are so many shades and tints that you could have in nude color. One with a pink undertone, other with a mauve and as the latest craze is the coral nude. Now, my point is we already have so many colors, so why not have one basic nude and mix them up?
Packaging:
Simply pretty and chic. Its a metallic light green packaging. Sturdy and shiny. Looks expensive from the packaging.
Price:
Around Rs. 250 (I don’t remember as I bought it some 4 months ago).
Availability:
Now, I really don’t see the point of calling it limited edition because its still there in the market. But still can’t assure if it will be there at all the places.
Ingredients:
Must have been there on the box, which I probably threw off, sorry about that!
Color:
Its a very light nude color, some might even point it out that it looks like a concealer almost, but it has a gorgeous shine and creaminess to it.
Texture:
Rich creamy texture, glides on like a dream. In fact, the product is so creamy and soft that it needs to be handled with a light hand or else you end up applying a lot. Plus the lipstick may break within the case. Best way is to use fingers or a brush. It has a very similar texture to that of NYX round lipsticks.
Advantage of using finger tips, warms the product, easy to blend for a great finish. No wastage. Though some might not find this hygienic, but I like to use it this way at times.
Now, tips on using this color. If you think you can rock a contrast color to your skin tone, go ahead chica. I love using this shade when I do a smokey eye or dramamtic eyes to keep the lips muted.
Use the following combinations:
- Red lip color+nude=light pinkish.
- Peach/Orange+nude=coral*dancing*
- Pink/deep pink+nude=a rich MLBB type color.
So, you guys get the gist, its to be used with any color of your choice. It just acts as a great mixing media type color. Just a little on your eyelids when you are in a rush to go to work in morning will make your eyes look dewy fresh.

- May not suit if used alone.
- Needs refrigeration in a very hot climate.
