Hello Everyone,

It’s been so long since I wrote a post here. I was really busy for the past two months and didn’t have uninterrupted internet connection too, so I was quite inactive but always checked the posts written here. Totally, loved Aparajita’s DIY posts, then the homemade masks and homemade beauty recipes series was amazing too and the Thanksgiving post by Surabhi really touched my heart. IMBB is such a happy place and there is so much positivity here.

I totally missed being active here, but I am glad that I am back and will write regularly now. So, finally I am here with a review on Colorbar True Lip Gloss in Pink Stain.

Rs. 495 for 3.8 ml.

This gloss comes in a transparent glass tube with a metallic cap. It has a slanted sponge wand applicator.

My Take on Colorbar True Lip Gloss – Pink Stain:

Color:

Pink Stain is a bold neonish pink color. It would look good on pale to wheatish skin tone. It would not compliment the dusky skin tones. Having said that, I still feel it is a tricky color and a lot depends on how you carry it off.  My suggestion would be, tone down the rest of your makeup, possibly go neutral to avoid looking made up or over the top.

Texture:

Colorbar True Lip Gloss is more like a lip cream than just a gloss. I would call it a liquid lipstick. It is non-sticky and extremely light in texture. It is creamy and quite moisturizing but if you have extremely dry lips, do not forget to apply a non-slippery lip balm underneath, else the lip color will crumble accentuating the fine lines of your lips.

Staying Power:

The staying power of this lip gloss is amazing. It seethes in your lips and stays put unless you use a makeup remover or oil to take it off. It survives snacks and heavy meals too, but if you eat or drink immediately after applying the gloss, it will not stay on your lips for long. So, after the application, let it settle down for about half an hour or so.  Colorbar True Lip Gloss is similar in texture to the NYX Xtreme lip creams that I have reviewed here earlier.

Pros of Colorbar True Lip Gloss – Pink Stain:

  • Non sticky.
  • Creamy.
  • Moisturizing (apply lip balm if you have extremely dry lips).
  • Amazing staying power.

Cons of Colorbar True Lip Gloss – Pink Stain:

  • A little expensive but has superior quality and a little goes a long way.
  • May not suit dusky skin tones, but if you have that confidence that you can carry it off well, then nothing like it. 🙂
  • You will have to use a makeup remover to take this off your lips.

If you love bold lip colors, you will love it.  I would definitely recommend this gloss to all the beauties.

    1. Yea Dee it is a real boon.. Although I love the idea of glosses I had stopped purchasing them sometime back as they wear off too soon until I came across NYX lip creams and now Colorbar True glosses
