My Experience with Coloressence Cinnabar High Pigment Matte Pencil:
The lipstick has regular lip crayon packaging with a twist up base, which works pretty fine. It does not require any messy sharpening. The matte black pencil has a color-coded red base to easily spot the shade in my vanity. The crayon has a black cap, which fits securely and does not come off while carrying around. This chubby crayon bears all the product details on it like its description, ingredients list, and shade name, just everything. I am really happy to see that the pencil bears the shelf life. The pencil is really light weight, handy and travel friendly.
The shade “Cinnabar” is a true brown shade with warmer undertones. The shade will suit almost all Indian skin tones well. But, it is not a flattering shade. It makes me look too dull. I observed some micro shimmers in this lipstick, which are not much visible. They just add luster to the lipstick and does not look chunky like Faces Starry Matte Lip Crayon. The pigmentation is low in this particular shade. Too many swipes are required to build up the color but still the finish does not look much opaque. The color does not hide pigmented lips well with a few swipes. The color is not easily buildable. The lipstick does not crease and does not feel heavy even upon layering.
The texture of the lip color is quite creamy. It is very smooth and glides effortlessly on the lips. It does not cause any tugging or pulling of the lips. It feels extremely comfortable and light weighted. The lipstick is slightly on a creamier side and sets to a semi-matte finish unlike those other variants of this range, which are super matte. The formula is pretty moisturizing. It keeps my lips moisturized for some 3-4 hours after that my lips become dry. The lipstick does not provide any hydration to the lips. The creaminess of the lipstick made it transfer easily. The lipstick bleeds from the corners of the lips easily after meals. It is surely not smudge proof.
The staying power is some where between 4-5 hours with a little fading. The color looses its intensity gradually after a few hours. The lipstick does not survive meals. The color gets ripped off after a full meal and the lipstick settles into the fine lines of the lips. The lipstick can be easily removed using a good makeup remover. It does leave a slight stain behind, which can be removed with a makeup remover. Overall, other shades from this range are surely pretty but this one can be easily skipped.
