I have naturally dusky complexion and my skin tends to tan very easily on very short exposure to sun. High point of my face is ironically my high cheek bones, well not that high but I can accentuate them by using an appropriate blush. Bronzers are another way to do that and I recently purchased one. Following is my take on it.

My Experience with Cover Girl Bronzer in Shade Golden Tan:

Some people use bronzers to high light their face, I however, have always been skeptical to use them because I was paranoid that it might enhanced my dusky complexion in a derogatory manner. Still a year ago I did have a brief tryst with bronzers when I bought Lakme Absolute Bronzer Duo, but it let me down as it stood out so obviously on my face. I ended up using it as eye shadow and it looks really nice that way.

One of my friends recently suggested that I should get a bronzer to highlight my face and give more definition to my cheeks, so I decided to dabble with some drug store bronzer and see how it goes. I bought this bronzer in shade Golden Tan because it didn’t seem too harsh or shimmery.

The product comes in a small, not too flimsy plastic case, which is compact and travel-friendly. The quantity is less, but less of this product goes a long way.

One sweep of this product will give a very subtle warm glow, which is very natural since the product is easy to blend and has mild shimmer particles. One can go on further with more sweeps if a very obvious tan is desired, but for my dusky complexion a sweep or two is enough to get a natural tan.

Also, this product has next to no fall out and hence less waste of product.

Bronzers can be used in multiple ways and one of the more prominent usages is as eye shadow. I personally use bronzers and blushes as eye shadows when I am running late. A sweep or two on cheeks is usually followed by a sweep on eye lids with the same brush. This provides a nice color to my eyes and also keeps my liner in place.

No, because it would last me a long time, but would ask others to buy this nice warm shade to get natural tan.
