My Experience with Covergirl Lipslicks Smoochies Lip Balm in Kiss & Tell:

Packaging: Okay so initially these were called only “Covergirl lipslicks” and they looked a bit boring to people I guess, so they innovated and made the packaging and the names more fun and exciting thereby making it look very colourful and attractive. First talking about the new packaging, they are super cute and gorgeous with a bright parrot green bottom and a bright coral inner packaging which basically resembles the colour of the lip balm so you can take a quick decision of which one to pick.

Also the outer lid is transparent and it has some cute things written over it like oxxo and smoochies and stuff. The packaging is very convenient to use and you can carry it along easily. These are drugstore lip balms so are super good in quality and affordable too.

Shade: The shade “Kiss & Tell” is a super bright beautiful coral shade with lots of pink hints. It is a very pretty poppy shade which instantly creates a cute pout. This one is a perfect shade for summers and makes me look very refreshed. It is a lovely shade for daytime use that will look super cute with floral clothing. Although the shade is a bright pinky coral one, it will suit all the skintones very nicely without washing off the complexion since this is moderately pigmented. I love it for everyday use and this entire range can nicely be worn to offices too. Apart from offices, this would make an essential item for college goers.

Texture and pigmentation: The texture is very soft and delicate and glides very smoothly on the lips without stoppage but a good 2-3 swipes are needed for the entire colour to show. The texture is a bit waxy but it doesn’t take much time to settle down. It instantly gives life to our lips making them look fuller and healthier. The pigmentation is really good for a lip balm. This could be used any which ways alone or even under a lipstick. My lips always look full and glow because of the great glossy shine that it provides. You get a marshmallow kind of a fragrance when you apply it but it soon fades out. It even moisturises my lips very well till the time the glossiness is there.

Staying power: It won’t survive a lot on your lips, it may last up to 2-3 hours and then the lips may feel flaky and a bit dry but as soon as you apply it, it will give a dash of colour again. Also since the lip balm is highly pigmented, it may further highlight the chapped lips and make them look even more visible. I think it is pretty fair for a lip balm to last for 2 hours because no lip balms last more than that too with a tint. What I really like about this lip balm is that although the moisture fades away, the mild coral stain is left behind on the lips not making them look dull at any point of time. The lips stay stained in red for 2-3 hours more. So I think it performed really well for me!

• Their names are so creative and innovative and each one matches its shade.

• The colour pay-off is quite good of this one and gives a nice dash of coral to my lips with strong pink hints along with a subtle shine which completes the look.
• Very fresh and summery shade for daily wear.
• Great for offices too.
• Stays for 2-3 hours and heals chapped lips if used regularly.
• Even after the lips balm fades, this one leaves a nice soft red stain on my lips which lasts for 2-3 hours.
• Moisturising till the time it is there on my lips.

Cons of Covergirl Lipslicks Smoochies Lip Balm – Kiss & Tell:

• It starts to flake and get dry after a while (only in winters).
