How have you been? I am sure, terrific. All due to the wonderful Giveaways on IMBB this year. It has been amazing to be a winner of a beautiful gift in the start of year and I sincerely thank IMBB and Zariin for it.

Coming to today’s review, it is another Deborah Milano 24 Ore Wet & Dry Eyeshadow in the shade 13 – Black. I had been in search for a matte black eyeshadow for a long time. However, the one’s which claimed to be black were either grey or silver with glitters or the price was way beyond the reach of my student pocket money. Then I came across this online. Since I have already used this eyeshadow in Apricot, which is a neutral shade, and which I love, I went ahead and ordered it. Read on to find out how it fared on my rato-meter.

Packaging:

The Deborah Milano 24Ore Wet & Dry Eyeshadow – 13 Black comes in a triangular plastic case with a transparent lid (no mirror). The applicator is useless. You can throw it away and you will not know the difference. 😛 The shade itself is black matte, with no glitters whatsoever.It comes at a price of Rs. 395/- with a shelf life of 3 years. I got it online for Rs. 356 ( My luck 😀 ). Check out the pictures below for more details.

My Experience with Deborah Milano 24 Ore Wet & Dry Eyeshadow – 13 Black

The shade which I have got, is 13 – Black, and as I have said earlier, it is a perfect matte black, with no glitters. It can be easily worn for a day time soft smokey look, with a nude lippy, and you will have heads turning in no time 😉 :*  Like the earlier shade which I had reviewed, the texture of this one is also creamy and velvety, and it can be easily applied and blended with a good eye brush. As you know, the makeup accessory you use also plays an important role in bringing out the best or worst of your product. Just, tight line and outline your eyes with your favorite black kohl after applying and blending this eye shadow and lo! You have a super quick chick and sexy smokey eye!!

The color when worn dry, is a lighter shade of black, however I love the intense black it turns into when worn wet. Also, the staying power is much better when worn wet. It will stay well on the eyelids too, better than when worn dry. You can increase or decrease the colour according to the intensity of the look you prefer, it is build-able. However, do so quickly, because once set it does not budge. It is smudge proof, just a little bit smudging and fading. I have oily lids, and it stayed on my lids like forever. It is waterproof, so please remove it only with an oil based makeup remover. Not even cleansing milk. But I guess that’s the thing with most black eyeshadows. Even if you remove completely, some traces are left behind because of the dark intensity of the shade.

A word of caution here, even if your black eyeshadow is smudge-proof and waterproof, you have to be a tad more careful while wearing those, than you are while wearing other shades. This is so, because, the others shades, even if they smudge a little bit, are safe to play with. However, if a black eyeshadow messes up even to the extent of 10%, it can be a makeup disaster. This holds true for most of black eyeshadows. You can see how intense the colour is when worn wet. I just love it!!
