Hello ladies, today I’d like to review a lipstick that I am in love with. It has utterly surprised me.
Well, Diana of London? What brand is this.. I had not really heard of it before. My Bhabhi picked up this lipstick from a store in Goa. Ever since my first swipe of this lipstick on my lips, I am in love with it. Then I decided to look up DOL online. This is what I found –

Known for blending classic tradition with a forward looking approach in developing its unique beauty products, it especially takes pride in using only environmentally safe materials for dispensing and packaging.

Packaging

This lipstick is entailed in a plum coloured carton with ingredients & details mentioned on it. The lipstick resembles a bullet. It’s kind of cylindrical in shape, and has a similar plum coloured cap with a silver base.

Product Claims-

Ultra soft texture, provides feeling of lightness & absolute comfort.
Luminous & excellent color payoff.
Velvety finish with vitamin E & anti-ageing properties

Colour and Texture-

A sober coral shade. Texture is extremely smooth and glides on lips very easily. Gives a nice sheen to the lips.Its so light that I tend to forget that I have anything on my lips.

Pigmentation–

Good color pay-off. A single swipe is enough for most of the colour to deposit on the lips. The colour is quite sober and doesnot look garish even if swiped twice or thrice on the lips.

How to apply

For a perfect finish, outline your lips with Absolute Moisture Lip Liner selecting a shade similar to the lipstick shade chosen, and fill in with Pure Addiction lipstick

Staying power-

Staying power is disappointing. It transfers easily and does not survive meals. Absolutely no stain or tinge of colour is left after the lipstick is off.

• Availability can be an issue
• The shade will suit all skin tones

Cons of Diana of London Pure Addiction Lipstick 24, Iced Apple

• Does not stay long, absolutely does not survive meals
• Does not even leave a tinge behind after a meal
• Transfers easily onto things that come into contact with lips

 

Final Verdict

A very lovely and a sober coral shade that glides onto my lips like Malaai. It feels absolutely so light that I forget I have applied lipstick. It‘s very smooth to apply and moisturises lips. It does not chap or end up in fine lines. I can wear this lipstick to office without it looking too loud or garish. I believe this shade will suit all skin tones. Only if the staying power was better, this would have been a win – win product. I’m not a fan of re touching my lipstick too often, so I’m not very happy with the product.
