My Experience with Diana of London Surprise Matte Lipstick Ruby Touch:
These lipsticks come with slightly confusing names; Surprise range of lipsticks also come in “matte” variant. I have had great experience with DOL lipsticks in the past. They often are very pigmented, creamy and solid colors!
“Ruby Touch” is a very mature dark maroon toned shade with some amount of gold tone to it, like a metallic lip color. Though it says matte, this has some shine to it but no shimmer. The color is very beautiful for lighter skin tones or if you can carry dark maroon and brown shades. This could also be a bridal color for some.
The texture is like butter! Trust me, all DOL lipsticks in this range I own feel like butter and crumble with the slightest pressure. These have to be stored in the fridge. This lipstick glides like butter too and it’s very opaque and creamy. You can use a lip brush to dilute the intensity. This does not transfer much and one swipe is enough or else it gets cakey. The wear time is 4+ hours easily. It’s a very nice lipstick but the shade is not for me or for anyone for day wear.
