My Experience with Dolce Matte Lipsticks Dolce Lover and Dolce Fire :
I am a sucker for matte lipsticks. Give me a matte lip over a glossy pout and I’d gladly buy it. When I saw these stunning lipsticks from Dolce and Gabbana, I had to try these put. I picked up two shades:

Dolce Lover 624 : A stunning cool toned red. It is one of my favourite reds these days. It is the kind of shade that brightens up your complexion and makes a big bold statement.
Dolce Fire 605 : It is a beautiful orangey red. A true favourite of mine and now my mom’s too. 😀 For her it is like mere wala orange. 😀

I took both these lipsticks with me for wedding because I feel that the true test of makeup actually happens during long events where you might not get a chance to do touch ups as well. And these lipsticks stood every single test that was thrown at them.

Pigmentation : These are one of the most pigmented lipsticks I have in my collection. One swipe gives an opaque coverage. These build up beautifully without getting cakey and you can get a full on punch of color with more swipes.

Texture : These are super matte lipsticks. The lipsticks glide on lips easily without tugging or pulling. But these lipsticks feel a bit drying on lips after around 4 hours so you might feel the need to pop on some lip balm. But I personally am quite used to of using matte lipsticks ( that mostly are not hydrating) so I am quite okay using these.

Staying Power : My mom used Dolce Fire and she so badly wanted a touch up after around 6 hours even though her lipstick looked decently fine to me. 😛 I used Dolce Lover and didn’t touch up for from 7pm till 5 am and I had a bright red stain on my lips. I have used these lipsticks before as well and these lipsticks have lasted good 8-9 hours on me and the stain stays until you remove the lipstick with a makeup remover.

Packaging : A luxurious black gold classic packaging. Love it. Closes with a satisfying click.
These do not feather or smudge. These do not accentuate fine lines but always use these on well exfoliated lips. These have the classic ‘Dolce & Gabbana” rosy fragrance to them. I love it.
Overall, cannot recommend these lipsticks to any matte lipsticks lover. They’d make you fall in love with matte lipsticks all over again!! Pure love!
