e.l.f. Essential Bronzer in Truly Bronzed Matte
Hey there!
One of the most attractive features in models are their chiselled features that look sharp enough to cut glass. While a lot of them do have sharp features, the general populace must make do with contouring products that create shadows to make features pop and seem sharper.
Seeing as I am a part of the general populace, I must make do with bronzers for contouring purposes. I have been on a near constant lookout for an HG contouring product, dark enough to give me a smexy contour but not so dark that it looks muddy. The product I am now going to review is one of the products that I came across on my seemingly endlessly journey.

Packaging
This product comes in a white plastic compact that looks cheap but is sturdy and travel friendly. It is also small enough for on the go touch ups, if required. As per the norm, the brush that comes with it is useless. I generally use my e.l.f. Kabuki or powder puff with this product.
My take on e.l.f. Essential Bronzer in Truly Bronzed Matte
I know IMBBians will be wondering if I am crazy for using a kabuki or a powder puff with a supposedly contouring bronzer. But the fact of the matter is that it’s too light to be used by most Indians as anything even close to a contouring product.
On my dusky skin, it looks chalky and most of the times just blends right into my skin. For my skin tone, this product is a complete failure as a bronzer. I always make it a point to look through reviews of e.l.f. products on the blogosphere before purchasing anything. But this is one of the products that I flew blind with. The swatch on the website shows it as a deep matte chocolate shade, and trust me, it’s nowhere close to it!
But because of its blendability I have been able to use this product in another way. I use it as a translucent powder to set my foundation so that it lasts longer and absorbs excess oil. This works brilliantly for that, so atleast my 2 dollars didn’t go to waste! :p
