My Experience with Eco Tools Konjac Pure Complexion Facial Sponge – Deep Cleansing:
I am a huge fan of using Konjac sponge for cleansing the skin. The last konjac sponge I had purchase was “My Konjac Sponge,” and was quite pleased with. Though I am quite happy with this product from Ecotools too, it does have limitations.
It is a regular konjac sponge, similar to many others that I have purchased in the past. The shape is slightly different, this is slightly fatter and thicker, hence when it is wet, it increase in size and fits nicely in the hand. The point on this sponge is not sharp hence even though you can get into nooks and crannies on your face, it is not as easy as it is with a pointed tip.
I absolutely dislike the fact that there is no tie on it to hang it on to dry, post use which is a must with konjac sponges. I don’t like to lay it on counter as sometimes it can get unclean. I improvised and attached my own tie to this sponge by tearing a hole through and tying a ribbon. Negative points for this.
Performance: This sponge performed similarly like other konjac sponges from the brands that I have tried. Once wet, it softens up and you can use this with any cleanser you like. It gently exfoliates the skin. Though it will not remove stubborn blackheads, it will help lessen their breakouts. There is also a white version for sensitive skin.
This sponge helps get rid of dead skin, control excess oil production, and improve the texture and appearance of skin over time.
It is recommended to change the sponge every 3 months which I do. Overall, I do like using konjac sponges. Though this product isn’t bad in terms of performance, I do not like the fact that it doesn’t come with a tie to help it to hand and dry. If you are ready to overlook that fact, then this is a good product at a very affordable price. I will recommend this to you all.
