Like every other makeup aficionado with relatives living abroad, I don’t leave a single chance of getting makeup delivered to my doorstep. :p Needless to say, when my brother came to India for his wedding I went crazy ordering makeup from my favourite company- e.l.f.

Recently, I have fallen in love with blushes. Despite being naturally tan, there are some days that I look sallow and excessively pale. For days like these, I need a pop of colour on my face to look even vaguely human. The product I am going to review, is one such “pop of colour” that I am completely in love with!

Create a subtle color definition to your cheeks that will add radiance and a glow, for a healthy look you can see. All our blushes are mineral based with no parabens, no preservatives and no chemical dyes.

Available in 7 gorgeous shades:

Joy – Natural mauve pink
Coral – Soft peachy coral
Bliss – Soft blushed pink
Rose – Bright rosy pink
Plum – Warm mauve pink
Peachy – Bright peach
Pink – Pale cool pink

Shake the Natural Mineral Blush back and forth to get excess powder loose into the tray. Gently glide over the powder with the Blush Brush to grab the powder, bring your brush to the cap to work in the powder to the brush, then tap off any excess. Sweep onto cheekbones to create the sheer colour definition.

Ingredients

Ingredients: Mica, Bismuth Oxychloride, Titanium Dioxide, Tocopheryl Acetate(Ve), Boron Nitride. May Contain: Iron Oxides(CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), Manganese Violet (CI 77742), Ultramarine Blue(CI 77007)

Titanium Dioxide is a key ingredient because of its ability to provide sun protection to the skin. These powders are absorbed into the skin and help control the effects of oily skin, for a shine-free, matte glow that visibly smoothes the skin and refines its texture.

Packaging

It is a beautiful tub of peachy rose colour with a sifter but application may become a bit of a hassle. The problem is that the sifter has too many holes in it. But it has a seal covering these holes, it’s best to pierce just 1-2 holes instead of removing the seal, so that product wastage is minimised. There isn’t any brush provided, so it’s best to use a Kabuki brush with this product.

My take on ELF Mineral Blush – Rose:

Dusky chicas, have you seen the natural flush you have after a vigorous workout? That healthy pinkish-red tint?

That is exactly the colour of this blush! You have my word, that this is the most natural tint for dusky complexions. The colour had me in raptures, it was that stunning! Admittedly, it isn’t most pigmented bush in my stash, but it can be layered for a deeper flush. It is completely matte and is the perfect everyday blush. Yes, the packaging is a little wonky and there isn’t an applicator provided. But this product along with a kabuki brush, gives the most flawless flush that I have ever had the fortune to witness.

Plus, it’s from e.l.f.’s mineral range, which is free of parabens, preservatives and chemical dyes so it is good for your skin too. I, for one, haven’t broken out once since I used this product. Which is a huge problem for many blushes in my sizable stash.
It is also very long lasting on my combination skin, and easily lasts throughout the day without a single touch up or noticeable fading. It’s easy to remove too. But if you need to touch up somewhere during the day, it’ll be pretty hard due to the lack of an applicator and slightly messy packaging.

I don’t think I’ll have to, there’s a lot of product.
