Elizabeth Arden Blush Sugar Plum Review

Elizabeth Arden is becoming my go-to brand for everything now and this blush is the new addition to my stash from this brand. From past so many times, I have been getting Elizabeth Arden cosmetics and the purchases make the bond even stronger 😛 Let me introduce you with the latest addition, Elizabeth Arden Blush in the shade Sugar Plum 01.

About Elizabeth Arden Blush – Sugar Plum:

Color Intrigue Color Intrigue Cheekcolor: Sugar Plum.  Lightweight cheekcolor that glides on for a radiant, natural look. Vitamin-enriched, Long wearing, color true.

Price and Quantity:

820 INR for 4.35 gm.

Packaging:

This blush comes in a velvet case which is very pretty and the square packaging makes it easy to store too. They have given a soft brush, which I have not used till date. It has a mirror too which makes the packaging a bit bulky.

Shade:

True to its name, it is a “plum” shade, but do not fret by the mention of “plum.” This will not age you, this gives just the required touch of blush to the cheeks.  This shade would suit very well  fair and medium-skinned beauties.  I am not sure about dusky beauties, but do check it out the next time you visit Shopper’s Stop.

Ingredients:

Talc, Mica, Dimethicone, Zinc Stearate, Lauroyl Lysine, Nylon-12, Magnesium Myristate, Polymethyl Methacrylate, Silk Powder/Serica/Poudre De Soie, Zea Mays (Corn) Starch, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Retinyl Palmitate, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, Tocopherol, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Squalane, Acacia Senegal Gum, Bht, Calcium Sodium Borosilicate, Methicone, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Sodium Dehydroacetate.

Texture:

This is a powder but once I apply it to my cheeks, it stays put. I do not know how it manages to do so, but I see a hint of color on my cheeks even after 10 hours when I come back home after work. The powder is very soft to touch.

Staying Power:

Staying power is impressive. As I told you earlier, when I reach home after 10 hours, I can see the hint of blush on my cheeks. I am happy with the staying power of this blush.

Finally, I would say that if you are looking for wearable and pretty shades, check out Elizabeth Arden once. This is undoubtedly a costly blush, but the quality makes up for it. I just swirl the brush lightly and get sufficient color on my cheeks.

Plum Sugar 4

This is my second blush from EA and I am definitely going to try other shades too. This has never broken me out, which is my major worry and which keeps me from trying new brands.

Plum Sugar 5

Pros of Elizabeth Arden Blush – Sugar Plum:

  • Sturdy packaging.
  • Shade is great for office wear.
  • Did not break me out.
  • Staying power is impressive.
  • Very soft in texture.
  • Great shade selection.
  • Pricey but the quality makes up for it, so I would say this one is cost effective.
  • Not tested on animals (I checked their site).

Cons of Elizabeth Arden Blush – Sugar Plum:

  • Mirror makes the packaging bulky, but some may find it helpful too as the size of the mirror is good.

My suggestion would be to try the shades before buying because 850 INR is some money! The quality is great though!

    1. I wish I was in a glamorous job like A fashion magazine editor 😛 so I could wear bold shades to work :(. But now have to make peace with such shades only 🙁

    1. This is such an understated shade Parita! u know some shades no, when people think u look good but they can’t tell the reason why? this is such a pretty shade!

  1. this is really a pretty shade and I think perhaps you might find duplicates in cheaper brands but I always think if you like something and you know you are going to use it for a long long time then it kinda pays for itself eventually and is worth every penny..so why not just go for it..:)

    1. I feel exactly the same Aru! I may buy a bright shade for less money but for such office wearable shades which I am going to wear very often, i always go for good brands. The quality pays off for the money we spend+ when we use them daily, it automatically becomes cost effective. This brand has been good for my skin, hence I stick to this!
