I’m back with another eyeshadow from Essence. Essence is one of my favorite brands because its packaging is super cute and products are affordable. Today I’ll be reviewing a purple eye shadow. Wait till you see the beautiful colour, you’ll know why I had to pick this up! Let’s get into the review!
electrified eyes… the popular mono eyeshadows ensure color highlights on your eyelids and are sure to give all girls that extra-special added touch.
My Experience with Essence Purple Clouds Mono Eyeshadow:
Packaging: Typical Essence Mono Eyeshadow packaging of transparent body with the name of the brand in black, at the front. The shade name and number and some other details are at the back. When you open the shadow, you see the gorgeous pan filled to the brim with the product. I must admit that opening the eye shadow gets a little difficult sometimes. It closes with an audible click, I love that sound. It’s very convenient and travel friendly.
Colour/Pigmentation: Did you just see that awesome colour? Purple clouds is like a soft lilac-purple with blue metallic sheen to it. It’s so unique and gorgeous! When swatched, you get a very light lilac colour. The blue sheen doesn’t come up, but it acts like an highlighter, I guess. I’m in love with the colour! The pigmentation is okayish. You have to build it up. But one good thing about it is that you can always build up the colour. For this shade, I think, the lighter the colour, the better it looks!
Texture: One thing I’m loving about this Essence eyeshadow is its texture. So far, the texture is so smooth! It doesn’t feel heavy at all on the lids. There’s hardly any fallout from this shadow. Since these are glitter based ones, I was expecting a little fall out here and there. But, boy! These do not budge at all! I’m loving these shadows! They blend in so easily!
Staying Power: Another thing that I’m loving about this Essence eyeshadow is its staying power. It stays up to 4 hours and even longer without a primer. It does fade a little bit, but that’s hardly noticeable. With a primer, it would easily last so much longer.
Summing up the pros and cons,
Pros of Essence Purple Clouds Mono Eyeshadow:
• Colour is so unique and gorgeous!
• It’s affordable since you get a lot of product!
• No fall out.
• Good staying power.
• Easy to blend in.
• Smooth and silky texture.
• Nice and see-through, sturdy packaging.
Cons of Essence Purple Clouds Mono Eyeshadow:
• But, this shade might not be everyone’s cup of tea.
