I hear all kinds of arguments regarding expensive makeup product. Some women vehemently proclaim that they can get the same quality in drugstore brands. Yesterday, I read a woman on Yahoo going so far as to call all women using expensive brands as ‘label **ores.’ But the same woman said that there was absolutely no drugstore replacement for Urban Decay Naked Pallete or Primer Potion. Well, other women might say the same about some other expensive makeup product being irreplaceable.
Another argument which keeps raging on is that expensive makeup product contains ingredients that are better for your skin, cause less breakouts, have better pigmentation, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera. Well, I wouldn’t know much about the chemistry of these products so I’m non-committal in this manner. This post is not to argue about this anyway. The comparison between drugstore and high end brands would keep going on forever.
What makes a product expensive? The amount of research gone into it, the ingredients, the quality, the sheer brand name, or (in India) the cost of importing the products not manufactured here? Who knows… One thing is sure- that not many Indians can afford it. Not only that, expensive makeup products are not easily avaaible everywhere.
If you are buying high end makeup products, you must have your own reasons for it. I am sure that even in high end makeup products that you are using, there are products which are absolutely fabulous and there are products which you’d never touch even with a ten-feet pole. Let’s talk about the good things today. We are going to ask you about products that really worked.
