Fenty Beauty recently launched a new line of matte lipsticks that they claim would feel comfortable on the lips. A matte lipstick that feels comfortable? Let’s find out if this claim is true or not? My Experience with Fenty Beauty Mattemoiselle Plush Matte Lipstick Freckle Fiesta:

Unlike other products that Rihanna came out under her brand “Fenty Beauty,” this range of lipsticks have a rose gold sort of packaging. The lipstick tube is ultra slim and feels very nice in hand. The only thing that bothers me is the plastic feel that it has. The name of the brand is printed on the tube and the “FB” (Fenty Beauty) logo is engraved on the top of the tube; even the lipstick bullet has the “FB” logo embossed on it. The shade name is mentioned at the bottom of the tube.

I have been a fan of Louboutin lipsticks for a very long time because of the intense pigmentation that they have and the way they feel on the lips, and surprisingly, Fenty Beauty’s Mattemoiselle lipstick feels the same. The pigmentation of this lipstick is highly saturated, it feels extremely lightweight on the lips.

“Freckle Fiesta” is a beautiful burnt orange color, slightly on the bright side, and it would suit a variety of skin tones. This lipstick goes on super smoothly in a single swipe without any need for layering. It does slightly tug on the lips when you apply it for the first time, but after that, it applies very evenly.

It has the slightest sheen to it which doesn’t bother me, but if you are looking for an ultra matte finish, this isn’t the lipstick you should pick up. I didn’t notice any feathering with this lipstick. The only thing that bothers me is its bullet shape because it’s a task to be within the lip lines and get a perfect application.

I didn’t notice any fragrance in this lipstick. The formula of mattemoiselle feels very luxe on the lips, it also feels quite moisturizing throughout the wear time. With eating and drinking, I did notice a little transfer, but surprisingly, it was totally perfect on the lips throughout. I get 7 to 8 hours of wear time with “Freckle Fiesta” before any reapplication.
