I need your suggestion to choose a foundation for my sensitive, acne prone oily skin , I read an a IMBB article about the best foundations for my skin type still could not zero in on anyone. I need a foundation which would suit my skin , gives medium to buildable coverage, doesn’t get cakey and can hide blemishes. High end brands are preferred.

I have oily skin myself. I recently got the MAC mineralize foundation. Its very easy to apply. and gives good coverage without looking cakey. Works for me! Give it a try (Do not forget to try on the skin and roam about the store fr atleast haf and hour before buying it. Totally learnt it here on IMBB 😀 )
rashmi u totally rie but somehow i did a mistake recently brought l’oreal true match foundation and powder though i tried at the store but after coming bk home i realised when i did makeup myself tht its giving me powdery luk .evn my bf told me why u have put powder kind f thing on face girrrrrrrrrr *cry* *cry* *cry* *cry* *cry* tht was such a bad feeling felt wasted my 2k bugs
Try experimenting with the quantity and blending. and never miss out on moisturizing your skin before putting on makeup! n still if it cakes you up then yea 2k wasted 🙁 *scared*
*thankyou* yea next time will try to blend with wet sponge. i hope it gives me good natural look. IMBB is jus making me fall in love and learn makeup though i was not much into it before my BB cream was my all makeup before .

Yes, it’s for dry skin… Will melt off oily skin and has no ingredients which can help with oil/shine control.

MAC prolongwear,studio fix fluid,mineralize skinfinish natural all r very good.If u want a budget one go for colorbar bb cream it is amazing on oily skin,hides minor blemishes that cost u 550 INR.

I use the Bourjois wala, based on IMBB review. It is simply superb in every which way. Sadly, it’s not easily available anymore! *waaa* But do check it out if you can get your hands on it.

I have skin that is very similar to what you mentioned, and for me the R*vlon Colorstay foundation works fabulously – although it provides heavy coverage. It stays on forever and is absolutely matte, doesnt make your skin oily even after hours. Its the best foundation I have used for oily acne prone skin.

I use the colorstay liquid foundation for oily skin – the one that says ‘with softflex’. There is a variant for normal skin as well. Best makeup for oily skin on a budget. If you want to splurge get the Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation, thats also pretty amazing.
Ruchi, try Estée Lauder double wear foundation… It’s long wear, controls oil, looks like skin. I have similar skin – oily, sensitive, prone to acne. This is my HG foundation. Also, try using a stippling brush instead of sponge, etc.
