lancome teint miracle foundation review

My Experience with Lancome Teint Miracle Foundation :

I had pretty high expectations from this foundation and I really am super happy with its performance.

Texture and Feel: It is a very light weight foundation with thin consistency. It spreads easily and seamlessly on skin. This foundation is 37% water so you can imagine how light it must feel on skin. Also, at no point of the day it feels drying even though the whether here is getting drier and colder now.  Never ever it oxidized on me. Not only that even after 10 hours of wear my skin didn’t feel dehydrated or uncomfortable.  The foundation. does not dry super quickly, which gives you enough time to work with it.

Coverage : It has medium to buildable coverage. You can easily build up the coverage of this foundation and it NEVER gets cakey. I personally like this kind of coverage a lot. It just gives that beautiful natural even looking skin. The best thing is that even with thin consistency, it gives a good coverage.

Finish : It gives a natural finish to the skin it is neither dewy nor completely matte. This also has very-very-very fine shimmer particles , which apparently give a nice glow to the skin rather than looking shimmery. These are just micro reflective particles that work beautifully on skin giving that lovely healthy glow to the skin. I lightly dust some loose powder on my face after applying the foundation and I am sorted for the day. (I have normal to dry skin)

Technology : This foundation is 37% water. It is oil free. It has 10 times less powdery fillers as compared to many other foundations. Does not clog pores. Good for those with sensitive skin.

Staying Power : It stays all day long with primer or without primers. Not only that it stays looking fresh even towards the end of the day. It does not settle in fine lines as well.

Packaging : I like the lovely glass packaging. Also the pump bottle is uber nice and dispenses just the right amount of product every time.

It never broke me out. It has a light rosy fragrance.

Shades : I feel finding the right shade would be a problem . Although the website mentions about the availability of 10 shades. I don’t think all 10 shades are available in India. The shade I bought 03 Beige is a tad bit lighter for my skin tone so I mix a darker shade of concealer  (MAC Studio Moisture Cover NC 44) to bring it to my exact color.

It photographs really nicely. I wore this foundation HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE. However with SPF 15 , this may not be ideal for flash photography.

Lancome Teint Miracle Foundation may not be for you if :

  • You like full coverage foundations. This covers a whole lot but it is definitely not a full coverage foundation.
  • If you have super oily skin. Although it is a water base foundation but it imparts a glow to the skin , which may not be ideal for those with very oily skin. I still suggest that you give this a try , set it with powder and see how it works for you. It does not clog pores, which could be great especially for those with oily skin.

I personally lovvved Lancome Teint Miracle Foundation. I mostly like to wear it for evening outs, sometimes to office and especially for day time photographs. It is not as invisible as Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua but then this has more coverage. I could be great for brides-to-be considering how long it stays and if you don’t have lots to cover on your skin, this is fantastic foundation.

  1. OMG.. the bottle is super cool.. I am loving the lancome packaging.. but price.. 2700…….     ..

      1. i m confused between tent miracle 055 and tent idole 06 ..i have some blemishes..the counter girl suggested me to try trnt idole 06 …so what should i go for,,,i m not a makeup person..so was in big dilema

  2. try it riya really. It is really nice. :)) I wouldn’t nt be able to pick one between chanel or this one but all I can say is that this is a very good stuff . :))

  3. this is a beauty rati, is it better than the chanel one? I liked the packaging more than chanel… wat r things u have in the background, in the 3rd pic

        1. MUFE and lancome – similar coverage but lancome gives a slight glow to skin. lancome also has super light reflective particles , which MUFE does not have. Both actually give a nice coverage without feeling heavy. I still like to wear lanocme one more in evenings than on day to day basis.

Lancome is 37 percent water based foundation. highest water content of any foundation so far.

Chanel vitalumiere aqua – least coverage of the 3 bt fantastic.

          1. :jaiho: :jaiho: :jaiho: :jaiho: :jaiho: :jaiho: :jaiho: :jaiho:

  5. This looks good, but I need to finish up the Lancome Teint Idole Silky Mat foundation which I have first. I have the Ivory shade in that but now I am used to beige shades. 😀

  6. I LOVE Lancome products and had been considering buying this foundation until I read a couple of reviews that said that this foundation oxidizes and darkens in color after a few hours of wearing it. Does this ever happen when you wear it?

  7. this looks like an awesoe shade. as always, loved the packaging. it does photograph very well. I liked the pics, especially in the chanel red one your face looked super smooth.

just btw, thanks to you guys, over the weekend I picked up the MAC prep+prime (white lotion base) and the MAC Mineral skinfinish natural compact powder (Medium plus shade). I am loving both of them so far. i dont wear any foundation, not even the tinted moisturizer actually. The MAC concealer, prep+prime and the MAC compact work absolutely wonderfully well so big thanks guys.

Nupur – since I have read that you a pro in the primer department, just wanted to know if this is a good buy. if its not, no issues, I will finish this and pick up the other one the next time 🙂

    1. aruna, I also do that a lot. Primer, concealer, cream blush and MSF. Works great! 🙂

I got a little confused abt the query you have put for nupur.. about which which product are you asking if it’s a good buy? :))

      1. sorry- i was asking abt the prep+prime..:)..I had the choice between the powder version and the lotion one and I decided to go with the lotion one..so is that ok?

i dont know if you recall but a few months ago, i put a query abt the makeup products to use on my face and at that time I was using a million things on my face. Perhaps my face might have even looked painted 🙁 Now, thanks to all of you, I have come down to the basics and am so thrilled abt that. so really appreciate it big time.

        1. thanks aruna. :))

the powder one is menat for setting the makeup towards the end. the lotion one is meant to be used as a base under the foundation. Imo, you have gone with the right one. 🙂

          1. ah thanks then. O:) .thats what my thinking was too that i was better off going with the lotion one.

(sorry for having changed the topic of this post with MAC related info)

          2. Aruna, MAC prep+prime(lotion one) is good. i have used it 2-3 times, n really liked its priming effect. But i dont knw why all MAC products break me out, so gave it away to someone. 🙁

            1. oh..thats a bummer. what do you use now? i hope I have better luck with it then. is it for a certain skin type?.. cos the SA never mentioned that to me.

                  1. and if you count Anil Kapoor’s father too it just too many..jagjit singh, pataudi, steve jobs, shammi kapoor..really disturbing..

  8. hey rati.!
looks gud …can i buy samples of this foundation ?…mine is super oily skin .
Im looking for some thing not fully matte , a more of a normal texture .

  9. This is such a hot fav amongst beauty gurus….and you’ve done really a greatttttttt review of this Rati….and as usual Awesomeeeeeee picss.. :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

  10. OMG this sounds like the best foundation ever :yahoo: :yahoo: reading the review it reminded me of my bourjois healthy mix..of course I am not comparing but even healthy mix is quite watery and imparts subtle glow on skin..though the staying power is not this awesome :waytogo:

    1. ahhh i see. :)) Give it a shot parita. You may really like it. They spent 10 years creating this foundation and I feel they have got it so right. 🙂

      1. 10 years :shutmouth: :shutmouth: wow..will def give it a try on face and see if it suits me 🙂 but honestly everything just looks so perfect on you :teddy:
now i have to wait for healthy mix to get over and try this one 🙂

    1. This is a water based foundation so this is not for dry or oily skin types. They have a foundation for oily skin also – lancome teint idole ultra. You may check both of these 🙂

  11. Is it True that we have to use this foundation within 6 month to 1yrs onces opend *shy* , i hve purchased this foundation , they gave a stock imorted in may12, wen i asked for exchange *ghost* . and told them these one has 3 yrs shelf life..they said..its written it should be used within 12 months only *headbang* , i spoke to their CAD department also.there manager also said the same..i m not convinced is it true *scared*

  12. I don’t find the shade 03 Beige on Lancome. I think they changed the shade names.. Do you know which one matches the 03 Biege in the current list of Lancome foundations? Is that Bisque 8 (N)?
Also, do they have different shades in India and USA?
