How are you all? Finally it’s raining in Kolkata and what a relief!!!
Today I will be reviewing a nail polish from Inglot from their O2M breathable range and the shade number is 641. It’s a lilac nail polish with metallic sheen and girls having fetish for pink or purple nail colours would love it. Inglot has introduced this range with 70 shades!!!
Price: 690 INR for 11 ml
First of all, I love my nails and thanks to IMBB, in the last 1 year, I have already purchased more than 30 nail polishes and the spree is still on. I was looking for a perfect lilac/purple nail polish when this Inglot store in Forum mall caught my attention. Inglot is known for its absolutely amazing shades and after seeing this colour, my mind said, this is the one!!
I absolutely had no idea before buying this product, how a nail polish can be breathable or why should my nail polish be breathable in the first place. However, after I bought this and started googling about this “O2M” thing I came to know that Inglot has introduced a new polymer, which is used in contact lenses. This polymer, KS02 increases water permeability to nails and hence, nails remain healthy and strong. Now, if someone asks me about the benefits I have noticed after using this nail polish, I would say that it did not make my nails yellow and did not make it peel. I cannot comment more on the stronger or healthier nails claim because I always use nail strengthener as base coat, prior to any nail polish application.
What I like the best about this nail polish is the texture. It is a pleasure to apply this on your nails. The texture is super velvety and smooth and with two coats, you will get a rich colour pay off. This colour (shade 641) itself is quite common but the metallic sheen, imparts to its gorgeousness. The drying time is quite commendable too…if you are in a rush and searching for a polish which will dry quickly without wasting much of your time, it won’t disappoint you. It does not contain toluene, formaldehyde, DBP, or camphor, which is another plus point.
According to me, what could have been better is the staying power. Without a top coat and a base coat, it hardly survives chipping for 2days and after that, it starts chipping off. This is something which made me tad disappointed. But later on, I found out that when applied along with a base coat, the colour stays for a week. Inglot claims that for better results, use O2M base coat and top coat.
Pros of Inglot O2M Breathable Nail Enamel Shade 641
1. Texture is super velvety and smooth
2. Drying time is fast and commendable
3. Metallic sheen adds to the gorgeousness
4. No yellow stain or peeling of nails after application
5. Does not contain toluene, formaldehyde, DBP, or camphor
Cons of Inglot O2M Breathable Nail Enamel Shade 641
1. Costly for a nail enamel
2. Staying power(without base or top coat) could have been better
Overall, I did not buy this nail polish because of this O2M technology. I bought this because I fell in love with the colour. Inglot has amazing collection of colours and for me, I would purchase from cheaper alternative ranges of Inglot because O2M technology is not for me or for ladies already having problem-free nails.
Rating would be 4 out of 5. -1 for less staying power.
Bye ladies till we meet again…
