Hello lovelies!

The brand Jergens is not alien to many of us. We have been reading many reviews here on IMBB about products from this brand and today’s review is going to be about a product from the same brand. It is about the Jergens All Purpose Face Cream. My Aunt visited Sweden a few months back and how could I let the opportunity fly away. So I asked her to pick up some stuff for me and along with other things, she got this for me.

$5.99 (app 335INR) for 15 oz.

And I have to mention here, it is taking me ages to finish this cream. God!!!! It is such a huge jar and for that price… it is a lot of quantity.

About Jergens All Purpose Face Cream:

According to the brand, the cream “Deep cleans your skin to remove makeup and dirt and provides a radiant, dewy base for makeup. Also softens and moisturizes to help smooth skin and fight dryness.”

Directions:

Smooth generously over your face and throat. Remove with a tissue or leave on overnight.

Ingredients :

Mineral Oil ,Water , Beeswax , Magnesium Aluminium Silicate , Sodium Borate , Fragrance , Isopropyl Myristate , DMDM Hydantoin , Red 4

My experience with Jergens All Purpose Face Cream:

Like I said,the product comes in a very huge jar,trust me,it is actually “huge”.The packaging is kind of cute because I feel it has a retro look to it but not very hygienic as it comes in a tub/jar and you have to dip your fingers every time in to it. The cream is quite thick in consistency and baby-pinkish in color.

Now talking about how the cream has worked for me.So,like the name suggests, it is an all-purpose cream and as the instructions mention, it sounds more of a cleanser rather than a moisturizer. I will tell you why. The reason I don’t find it good as a moisturizer is it is super thick and leaves an oily/greasy feeling over the skin. So I would not recommend using it as a moisturizer for your face. But you can still use it in areas that need intense moisturisation like the elbows and knee caps. And do not even think about going by the directions on the pack…leaving this on the skin overnight??? No ways! I don’t want to wake up with a ton of oil on my face.

I have been using it for more that 5 months now and with all the effort I still have about 1/4th of the product left. I use this more as a cleanser,it does clean out the foundation and face makeup very well but it is not recommended for removing eye makeup as it stings the eyes badly. Also, I am not recommending this as a moisturizer for anyone… I specifically warn oily skinned girl to give this a pass as it is very greasy. But if you want to invest in a good cleanser/makeup remover that comes in huge quantity for that price, you can definitely go for it. I am not sure if this is available locally but I did find these online.

Pros of Jergens All Purpose Face Cream:

1. Super cheap for the quantity.

2. Good cleanser.

3. Smell not very over-powering.

4. Its pink!!! 🙂

 

 

Cons of Jergens All Purpose Face Cream:

1. Too oily for a moisturizer.

2. Tiresome quantity.

3. Packaging not very hygienic.

Would I recommend Jergens All Purpose Face Cream to a friend?

Not really as you can skip the moisturizing part, thanks to the greasy texture.
