This is my last lipstick from the KIKO brand, Luscious Cream-Creamy Lipstick #509 Passionate Fire Red. I have two shades from this range, the other one being #504 Raspberry. The review is pretty much same as that.
Price: GBP 6.90 for 3.5 g
Creamy lipstick with pure, intense colour and exclusive design. A sublime gliding texture to enhance the full sensuality of your smile with a satin finish and a surprisingly rich and brilliant pigmentation. Imperceptible and light, Luscious Cream adheres precisely to your lips wrapping them in a fine film with immediate, long lasting and intense coverage. Enriched with K2 Repulp, multi-function plant extract active ingredient, the Luscious Cream formula keeps your lips beautiful, working on 3 different levels:
Moisturizing and plumping action*: K2 Re pulp stimulates the production hyaluronic acid, helping to keep the moisture level of the lips ideal increasing their fullness.
Energizing and revitalizing action*: cellular vitality is reactivated giving your lips a strong healthy look.
Aging prevention*: thanks to its active ingredients, production of collagen and Sirtuin 1 (protein of youth) improved cellular longevity is stimulated for younger looking lips. Special resins, in combination with jellifying substances, give the formula a soft, comfortable texture, and an ultra-blending creaminess that – thanks to the small applicator tip – maintains perfect control during application.
Contained in gorgeous packaging with distinctive lines, created exclusively for KIKO, Luscious Cream offers an ultra-feminine gesture, made even more intriguing by the innovative opening clasp. Available in 25 brilliant colours, from the most easily worn tones to the “strongest” and most unexpected shades, to give your lips an unmistakable touch of style.
*Action tested in vitro. Hypoallergenic = formulated to ensure minimum instance of allergic reactions.
Packaging: The lipstick comes in a black matte cardboard box. The lipstick is housed in a metallic pearly bronze tube. The cap is in a similar metallic pearly silver color. The mechanism of this lipstick is a bit different and I have never seen something like this before. The cap closes on firmly and does not open easily on its own. To open you need to push the top of the cap and it eventually pushes the lipstick down. The cap closes with a click. The lipstick has twist-up mechanism. The lipstick is chubby but very travel friendly. The number of the lipstick is mentioned on the carton and the base of the lipstick. The name is mentioned on the website but not on the carton or the lipstick itself.
My Experience with KIKO Luscious Cream-Creamy Lipstick #509 Passionate Fire Red:
Passionate Fire Red is a combination of orange and red. It is a bright red shade with orange undertones, not too bright and not too muted, but just the perfect color to get your mood up and going. It brightens up your face instantly. The finishing of these lipsticks is somewhat between bit glossy and matte. The mini chiseled shape of the bullet helps in better application.
The texture of these lipsticks is soft, extremely creamy and buttery. It is clearly evident when you see the bullet how soft and creamy it is. However, the bullet is strong enough to not break while application. Passionate Fire Red glides like a dream on your lips. I always use lip balm no matter what. But this range is creamy enough to feel moisturizing for few hours after application and does not feel dry immediately. Even though it is creamy, it does not crumble or settle into fine lines. It gives an opaque coverage in single application. I love the way it gives a sober and classy even and smooth finishing.
The pigmentation is good and even in single application the color comes out pretty good. There is not much difference in single and multiple applications. This shade is very light on lips and layering does not make it feel sticky or heavy at all. It stays around for 5-6 hours after which it fades away and leaves a reddish tint to the lips. It does transfer a bit to the cutlery. These are not waterproof and do not have any bothersome smell.
This shade is sober enough to be worn to the office in the morning and classy enough to get out the party girl within you at night with multiple layers.
