My Experience with KIKO Ultra Glossy Stylo SPF 15 Lipstick #815 Rhododendron Pink:
When I first read the name I was not sure how to pronounce it and what it actually referred to. Obviously I had to Google it. So Rhododendron is basically a shrub or small tree of the heather family that has clusters of pink, purple or white flowers. True to its name, this lipstick shade is a very gorgeous soft mauvish pink. Giving your lips just a little more than the natural pinkness.
Rhododendron Pink is absolutely void of any shimmer particles. Even though these shades belong to the glossy family of KIKO, I love the fact that they are not over the top glossy – very sober and classy with just the right amount of glossiness to shine and moisturize. I am highly impressed with the texture of these lipsticks. They are buttery soft and glide on the lips easily without tugging or pulling. Even though the lipstick is creamy, the bullet is strong enough to not break easily. Since these are very creamy and soft, they might crumble on rough and unexfoliated patches. They are neither too drying nor too moisturizing. But I would recommend a lip balm always.
The pigmentation is good and even single swipe gets the true color on the lips. It is neither too sheer nor too opaque. This shade is not meant to be very dark and there is not much difference with single and multiple applications. Too much layering feels a little heavy on the lips. The staying power is good enough for 5-6 hours after which the glossiness starts fading away but leaves a pinkish tint to the lips. It does transfer to cutlery and fades away from the center of the lips first. These are not waterproof at all.
I love the way it looks and feels so soft and is amongst those lipsticks now a days that I use on a daily basis for my office.
