My Experience with LA Colors Moisture Cream Lipstick Yummy:
The lipstick comes in a basic, black-colored plastic tube with a clear plastic cap. The side of the tube has the shade name written on it. The tube is color coded; this helps to easily spot the shade from makeup stash. The cap does not shut very tightly and may come off while carrying around, so I have to be extra careful while carrying this lipstick to avoid any mess. Also, a small part of the lipstick peeps out of the tube, so a little care is required while removing/placing the cap to prevent the bullet from getting damaged. The shape of the lipstick bullet shaped helps to achieve precise application. Overall, the packaging is very ordinary.
“Yummy” is a beautiful reddish-pink color. It is a lovely shade for everyday use. It looks lovely on my skin tone. It is great for college or office wear. It does not look over the top or too bold. The brand claims it to be crème lipstick but the lipstick sets to a semi-matte kind of a finish in a bit of time. It gives a healthy sheen to the lips.
The lipstick is average in pigmentation and needs to be layered on for full coverage. Two-three swipes are required to build up the color on the lips. It is capable of covering pigmentation of the lips nicely. The color looks even and does not get patchy.
The texture of the lipstick is smooth, non drying. It does not drag on the lips. This lipstick does highlight dry patches, so it is important to exfoliate and moisturize the lips well for smoother and healthier-looking lips. The formula is comfortable to wear. It is not too lightweight, but it is not very heavy either. I can still feel the presence of the lipstick on my lips. The lipstick is smudge-proof upto some extent. The formula is not heavily transferring but it does transfer a little. It survives normal sipping and light snacks easily, but it fades away after a full meal. The lipstick is moisturizing and feels comfortable on the lips, keeping them hydrated for long.
The lipstick lasts for around 4-5 hours on my lips with a little fading. It can be easily taken off with a good makeup remover. It leaves a light stain on the lips, but it can be taken down with a regular makeup remover.
