My Experience with Lakme Cherry Lip Love Care:

I really had to try this as, first, it was a new launch and, second, it was too cute to miss! I mean the dual-core sticks look so tempting. So I bought all, except the Vanilla version. To start with, the Lip Love Care is a tinted lip balm that comes in the form of a swivel stick with a transparent cap which closes with a click sound. The shade is mentioned on the bottom. The tip of the stick is slanted for ease of application which I really like. The application is really smooth, providing an ample amount of moisture with a hint of red tint. It gives a glossy finish to lips and is not waxy at all. I am not too fond of the bubblegum smell though.Lakme_Cherry_Lip_Love_Care__2_

The moisturising effect really lasts long without meals. You may need to apply it after 3 hours, which is more than enough for me. I have been using Nivea lip butter from a long time. And this is a nice and better change for now. This is also more moisturizing than the Nivea butter; makes lips really soft instantly. The tint is also very natural, a sheer pretty red, which brightens up the face. It is actually just a hint of tint as described by Lakmé. I have pigmented lips and it shows on them, so I am happy. Good for days when I am in a hurry and don’t have time to look into the mirror!

One thing I am really surprised at is the missing ingredient list! I mean, seriously? These days we are talking about the full disclosure of ingredients, and here we don’t even have the main ingredients. No clue at all about what is there in the balmy core that makes it so smooth

It also boasts of SPF 15, which, though not very high, is good for the Winter sunny days! So, in all a good lip balm to try if you are looking for something new! Will review the other two next .

What I like about Lakme Cherry Lip Love Care:

  •  Seriously buttery smooth.
  •  Gives a nice flash of tint to the lips if one doesn’t want to go with the lipstick.
  •  SPF 15.
  •  Attractive packaging.

What I didn’t like about  :

  •  No ingredient list (Why Lakmé why? I still can’t accept this fact!).
  •  Availability at present.

IMBB Rating: 3.8/5
Will I repurchase Lakme Cherry Lip Love Care?

No, as so far I haven’t repurchased a lip balm. There are just too many out there 😛 But I do recommend trying it once.

  1. Ooooo this one is also a nice shade!! But I liked pink one more. 🙂 Mine strawberry and cherry are out for delivery today 😀 😀

    1. Hehe…i understand how eagerly you would be waiting once you come to know that they are out for delivery…i felt the same 2 days back… 🙂

  2. Looks quite similar to the Labello Shine in cherry! I’m not a fan of bubblegum smell either, but I can’t even stop myself from picking up a lip balm once I spot it 😀
