Lakme liners remind me of my childhood days when their old black liquid liner was extremely popular. Recently, I saw that Lakme has added new shades to their “Insta Liner” range and I picked up the “Green” and “Blue” shades. In this post, I will be reviewing Lakme Insta Liner Blue.

My Experience with Lakme Insta Liner Blue:
Like their old black liner, this new shades also come in a small, clear glass bottle with a simple brush applicator. Brush is thin, well defined and easy to use, but the handle is quite small, so it’s little tricky to hold and as it’s a thin brush, you have to layer up a few coats to get a thick line.
Lakme Insta Liner has four shades in its range and three of them have been newly added. Lakme Insta Liner Blue is a gorgeous royal bright blue color which looks amazing on the eyelids. It instantly brightens up the entire eye makeup and provides a beautiful pop of color. I personally love such blue liners; it goes so well with all skin tones. The liner doesn’t have any shimmer. It is well pigmented and requires two to three strokes max to get the perfect intensity.
As a liquid liner, it has a thin, liquid-y consistency and glides easily over the eyelids, and it’s very easy to draw sharp winged lines with it. The formula is lightweight, quick drying and non patchy. It’s quite easy to layer up the formula. I can draw creative lines with it, only that it needs good control over the brush to get best results. The formula is nice, smooth, and provides a perfect matte finish, but at the same time, it’s not a waterproof or smudge-proof formula.
It is easy to wash the liner with plain water and it does smudge by touching or rubbing. If you not touch your eyes, it will not look that messy except the corners but it’s not a long wearing product, especially during summer season. As I sweat a lot, this liner doesn’t work for me. I mostly prefer waterproof eyeliners, otherwise, it’s a good budget-friendly product for beginners.
Lakme Insta Liner Blue lasts for around 3-4 hours on the eyelids, the staying power depends on your skin type and weather too. Sometimes, it gets smudged due to oily and sweaty skin, so you should not expect much from this liner.
Overall, considering the price, it’s good and easy to work with.

Yes, if you like blue eyeliner, then you can try it, but it’s not a long-lasting eyeliner.
