This review will be on the Laura Mercier Caviar Eye Stick in the shade “Ganache.”
An eye pencil with a new technique to enhance the smoky eye look.
What it does:
Inspired by Laura Mercier’s cult classic Caviar Eye Liner, Caviar Stick Eye Colour comes in a myriad of beautiful shades and in a creamy formula to deliver endless options for a flawless smoky eye. Each convenient eye pencil is long-wearing, transfer-proof, and crease-resistant. The color glides onto lids and blends seameleslly with a rich pigment-payoff. This product was dermatologist tested. This product is an Allure Best of Beauty award winner.
My Experience with Laura Mercier Ganache Caviar Stick Eye Colour:
Packaging: This eyeshadow comes in a retractable pen style packaging which makes it very convenient to use and of course travel with. There is no hassle of sharpening which I like. The cap closes securely.
Texture and Pigmentation: This stick eyeshadow is super creamy and smooth. It has a beautiful texture and blend-ability. I can safely say that I haven’t had a single dud from this line from all the shades that I have tried. They can be blended both with fingertips or a synthetic brush hence they are also beginner friendly. They do set quickly, so it is best to do one eye at a time.
These shadows are so pigmented, one swipe delivers full payoff. There is absolutely no tug or skip. They apply just as easily on the waterline as well. They are so versatile, you can use also these as eyeshadows, creamy eye shadow base for powder shadows. Use with a pencil brush as an eyeliner or on the waterline.
Shade and Finish: The shade “Ganache” is a matte one – it’s a gorgeous melted chocolate brown. It can be used as a crease or outer V shade or can be smudged on the lower line of a smoked look. If you are feeling bold, you can easily create a bold brown smokey eye which I would love to try.
Staying Power: These shadows adhere on the lids securely even without a primer. In fact, there is rarely any need for primer with the other shades as well. The staying power is amazing. There was absolutely no fading even at the 8-hour mark. This particular shade showed no signs of creasing. The eye shadow comes off easily with an oil-based makeup remover.
Overall, I absolutely love these Laura Mercier caviar sticks. They are so fool proof that even people who consider themselves not-so-good with makeup will find them easy to use and since these sticks have an amazing staying power and come in a beautiful array of shades, I highly recommend this line.
In the EOTD, I have used the shade “Sugar Frost” all over the lid and blended with the shade “Ganache” in the crease for a super easy daytime look.

They are truly amazing. After a lot of dilly-dally, I finally picked up Amethyst. They really are so easy to work with. Loved this shade Ganache – would definitely pick this up next!
