Sorry for being MIA for a long time, I was suffering from a bad eye infection, which affected both of my eyes separately.  By the time my left eye recovered, my right eye caught the infection. Let’s continue, it’s really a long review.

Everything is same, except now that these do not come packed in an outer pack, neither I got this one safely sealed in a plastic film. It was completely bare. Well, the gloss comes in a rectangular-shaped golden colored tube; it has a transparent section at the neck and mouth of the tube, between the body and cap, which eases with color identification.  The section has a small bar with the brand name written on it.  All these things add glamour to the packaging of the stain.  You will find the shade sticker and number on the top of the cap. The tear-drop shaped sponge applicator, with a loop in between is really awesome; it makes application precise and smooth on lips.  You will not need to dip the applicator in the tube too many times.

My Take on L’Oreal Colour Caresse Wet Shine Stain – Rose On and On:

The shade “Rose On and On” is a deep rosy pink color with concentrated silver shimmer in it.  The shimmer particles are very tiny and will be noticeable on lips only on closer look.  It’s a very wearable shade for every day, not very bold on lips, yet gives the right amount of color on lips and being very neutral and rosy pink color, it’s almost a MLBB kind of shade and will suit every skin tone. I think the glosses are getting more shimmery from the previous version of these stains. The only thing I find weird about the product is that the color tends to appear a little different on lips than it appears in the tube.  You will not get the exact color on lips, which is in the tube.  This one goes from a pure rosy pink to a slightly deep pinkish on lips. The texture of this gloss will floor you each time you apply it.

The texture is very creamy and feathery, the formula is gel emulsion based, not water based like a stain nor very thick or sticky like glosses. It glides so smoothly on lips, really non sticky and lightweight on lips.  It is hydrating and soft on lips.  Whenever I rub my lips, it feels like I have applied butter; very slippery, absolutely no waxy or heavy feeling on lips. The gloss has the right amount of color or tint to it, the formula is sheer, but yet the color is buildable in 2-3 swipes. I don’t have rosy pink lips, they are slightly pigmented and it covers my lips with the desired color in two coats.  Those who have severely pigmented lips can opt for these stains.  I will not ask you to skip it, they will work awesome as glosses over lipsticks and tinted balms on them.

The gloss stays put on me for 6+ hours, even more than that.  The freshly applied glossiness fades away a bit after 6 hours, but an even layer of color was still visible on my lips.  It will not turn uneven or make patchy rings when it wears down, and it really kept my lips hydrated throughout, I didn’t feel the urge to apply lip balm. The stain doesn’t transfer or bleed, it will survive meals also, if you are eating with spoons and small bites of food.  It’s waterproof too, the color or gloss doesn’t wash away when it comes in contact with water.  Otherwise, it’ll surely stay for at least 4-5 hours vibrantly on lips.

• Considering it’s a gloss-cum-stain and also being a lighter shade, the pigmentation is decent and gives the right amount of color on lips.
• Staying power is amazing, 6+ hours.  It’s waterproof and doesn’t transfer badly. The gloss won’t bleed and will survive meals.
• Very hydrating and true to its claims.
• Won’t turn patchy in the last hours.

Cons of L’Oreal Colour Caresse Wet Shine Stain – Rose On and On:

• The color in the tube does not come out on the lips, it appears different.
• Would not cover pigmented lips.
• Limited availability in India.
