Skin type: Fair, oily, sensitive
Hey my beautiful friends,
I absolutely love L’Oreal eye liners. Most of them have worked amazingly for me, right from the Kajal Magique to the Silkissme range, the color, texture-everything is perfect! When I could lay my hands on L’Oreal Wear Infinite Silky Powder Eye Liner, I picked it up without second thoughts. Let’s review this beautiful liner in the shade Ebony.

My Experience with L’Oreal Wear Infinite Silky Powder Eye Liner Ebony:
The liner is in a sharpenable pencil form with a matte black-gold body. It is simple, fuss-free and travel-friendly. It had an outer cardboard packaging, which I had torn off completely! But it resembles the packaging of the Silkissme liners, with all the details beautifully printed on the cardboard casing. Also the body of the pencil has some details written in gold font.
This is a liner which I bought quite a while back, during one of my trips abroad. The disappointing thing is the availability. One of my friends owns this range in shades like Brown Suede and Lavender (how did she manage to get hold of them, I don’t know).
The color is somewhere between charcoal and taupe-grey. It isn’t black at all, more of a dull black-brownish shade with very minute shimmers. The shade is very wearable and the fine shimmers do not look OTT. Although I love jet black liners, there are days I want to break out of the rut. This shade is perfect for a smudged or light smokey eye. On days I want to keep my makeup slightly different yet not play with my eyes, I apply it on my upper lids, and use a light color on my lower lash line.
The pigmentation is excellent. With one stroke you can get a full color payoff. With two swipes, you can build the intensity for a more dramatic look. The texture is creamy; it glides like butter on my oily and unprimed lids. There is no tugging or pulling whatsoever. I hate it when the hard tips of liners irritate the delicate eye area. This is very soft and prone to crumbling; just putting it in the freezer for 10 minutes before usage makes the application easier. However, it needs to be sharpened before every use, it gets blunt very easily.
The staying power is not infinite as they claim, but still great. I have very oily eye area, and with just a compact powder (no primer) it lasted easily for 8 hours. I wore it at 10 in the morning and till 6 in the evening, it looked pretty much intact. There was slight fading at the edges, but it looked quite nice even then.
There is no creasing. It does not smudge much, just let it settle for a couple of minutes after application and it stays put like that. Splashing water reduces the intensity of the color. You can remove it with any gentle makeup remover wipe or micellar water too.

Cons of L’Oreal Wear Infinite Silky Powder Eye Liner Ebony:
