L’Oreal Elvive Fibrology Thickening Conditioner and Thickness Booster Review

Hey People,

I was a regular user of L’Oréal Elvive Full Restore Repairing range. I simply love its conditioner; it’s best at its job! In fact, I did try couple of other shampoos from many brands, but I was quite hesitant to try other conditioners. Oh, Oh! Hang on ladies; I am not reviewing L’Oréal Full restore conditioner. As I have started using L’Oréal Fibrology Shampoo and I am quite pleased with its results, I wanted to buy other products from this range for the complete 360 degrees experience. Hence, I purchased the conditioner and thickness booster and here is the review. I have already posted my review on the shampoo in May and here is my turn for the next products.

L’Oréal Fibrology has launched 5 products under its range – Shampoo, Conditioner, Masque Pot, Thickness Booster and Serum. The L’Oréal Elvive Fibrology Thickening Conditioner comes in a large flip top bottle in bright blue colour with a dazzling pink lid. It has a thick and white consistency and it comes in 250 and 400 ml. I don’t know why, but unlike the shampoo, the bottle isn’t transparent so you can’t see how much product remains. Thickness booster is the same bright blue tube with a screw pink cap and comes in 30 ml. Compared to shampoo and conditioner; booster has a lighter transparent consistency and little expensive too!

Conditioner – £2.99 for 250 ml and £3.99 for 400 ml
Thickness Booster – £5.00 for 30 ml

My experience with L’Oréal Elvive Fibrology Thickening Conditioner & Thickness Booster :

Well, usually for any hair product, you can’t give a good verdict of the products after the first wash. To get a proper feel, you need to try a couple of times to really see its performance. But hey! This doesn’t work for L’Oréal Fibrology Conditioner. After the first wash I really noticed how much extra bounce the conditioner added. To an extent, the conditioner also tamed my unruly hair throughout the day. Now, that is when the product gets an extra star! Just a little squeeze of conditioner (around the size of two peanuts) and it worked smoothly through the tips and then through the roots of my hair. I could really feel the softness in my hair when I am rinsing it. The good part is that the conditioner did not weigh my hair down.

Both the products smell wonderful; the fragrance of the conditioner is more floral than the shampoo. I was very curious about thickness booster and its workability. I haven’t seen this kind of product in other brands too! It’s little expensive though compared to the other products from the range. Now, this is supposed to be used after you wash your hair. Squeeze ample amount of booster into your hands and properly run this through roots till the tips of the hair and then apply conditioner. The main ingredient ‘Filloxane’ remains in the hair and helps to expand hair wash after wash. The immediate result which I have noticed it provides lots of volume and bounce to the hair.

Personally, one advantage of using this trio is that my hair had started looking quite healthy. It definitely guarantees overall improvement of the health of the hair, but sorry I am not sure about the thickness. I have a little thick and wavy hair. Now I really don’t like calling ‘little thick’! I am trying so many other antidotes to get back my ‘good thick’ hair but in vain. My new experiment to regain my thickness is L’Oréal Elvive Fibrology and the results are not bad; however I am patiently waiting for the final outcome.

You can use either conditioner or masque pot in conjunction with other products; both are designed for same result. But, to get the desired results, its best advised to use all the products from Fibrology. Now, I am really hunting for the serum. I didn’t find in any of the stores – Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Superdrug or Boots!

The results are adequate for me, the hair is light and healthy, doesn’t feel or look greasy. However, you need to use a lot of thickness booster to rub your hair against it. I am still concerned about regaining my hair thickness which I guess will be retained after using this regularly.

Oh, yes definitely. Improvement in your hair is guaranteed. This conditioner will easily last more than 3 months and perhaps next time I will try masque pot. I will continue using thickness booster to check the results.
