I picked up two more of these, I have loved and reviewed the maple mocha shade. I agree the price is an ouch but these are no drying and long lasting mattes, they have really bright shades as well.One for everyone.This time I got this milky cool tone pink and another one in red “flaming kiss” review coming soon. This one is a miklky pink but it is not in your face or a cakey milky pink.I have to be honest i bought this to mix with other lipsticks. SOme hoe this shade is a nice pink to have for toning down other lipsticks or to wear it with some darker gloss. But when I wore it I realized I could wear it lightly on its own too provided my base is right and i am wearing a cool pink blusher too.
I love the pack so much, it is worth the price of 899, the color coding and the whole click lock thing, everything is beautiful.I think many of us would not be able to say no to this due to the packaging.The lipstick is pure matte,but this one seems dry than the maple mocha one, this one seems less pigmented as well.
The color is pigmented enough to cover the lips in one swipe,you would feel it is not cakey but seems like a very light lipstick honestly. You would now know it is a matte or a drying lipstick,it feels like wearing no lipstick. in more than one coat this could be little dry, since this particular pink is on the dry side.It could feel like you need more pressure application for this shade, but it was not the case with maple mocha.
The lipstick is very powdery matte, but feels light.The pink is blue toned and milky but not really unwearable, you could try it lightly and if you have slight pink undertones to your skin, this will bring it out. If you are yellow or warm please skip this shade .Try maple mocha rather. i like to wear this shade lightly. it lasts easily for 4-5 hours.If you have dry flaked lipstick, this could look very bad, this could actually accumulate a lot in lip cracks, I do not say it is a drying matte but very dry lips could skip it. I love the powder matte feel, it is great for a base for a pink gloss too. The price tag of 899 could be a major deterrant for many. Overall a nice pigmented non drying matte with great shades.
