My first purchase from the newly-launched L’Oreal Paris Shine Caresse range was Faye, which I simply loved. I couldn’t wait to buy another one. What better occasion than Valentine’s Day. So, I hopped to the mall and bought the L’Oreal Paris Shine Caresse in Lolita 606.
INR 499 for 6 ml.
Dazzling shine, Fresh moisture, lightweight lip color. The first lip colour to fuse with your lips. Rich, refined lips yet a barely-there lip sensation. Lips feel cocooned in a fresh, dewy sensation. The modern way to play your lip colour. The unique formula comprised of 30% water and 60% oil provides an exceptionally high level of moisture, allowing for 6-hour hydration. Concentrated soluble colour pigments create a subtle wet look with a weightless feeling on lips.

My Experience with L’Oreal Paris Shine Caresse Lip Color in Lolita:
The lip color comes in a sleek tube in white gold. It has a transparent patch just below the cap so that the lip color is visible. The fragrance of the lip color is not very appealing and thankfully, it wears off quickly. The screw cap closes with a click to prevent the lip color from drying.
The color “Lolita” is a perfect dusky rose color with extremely fine, non-abrasive gold shimmer which is visible only in yellow light. I love the precision applicator with a short stem. The shape of the applicator is like a tear drop with a hole in the center which collects the extra lip color as you apply it on the lips.
The lip color is a little sheer but can be built up. It glides very smoothly on the lips and leaves a thin layer. The color darkens a little once it settles down. The lips feel really moisturized and hydrated on application. Even after the glossiness vanishes, the lips do not become dry.
The glossiness of the lip color stays for a really long time, about 6 hours. After that, it leaves behind a pretty stain which is the same as the lip color. It does not transfer easily, neither does it settle in lip lines. I need an oil-based remover to take off the lip color. Overall, this lip color has exceeded my expectations. No wonder it has won the Australian Beauty Awards Lip Gloss of the Year!
Pros of L’Oreal Paris Shine Caresse Lip Color in Lolita:
- Perfect shade for me as it is my MLBB shade.
- The applicator is thoughtfully designed so that only a thin layer of the lip color gets applied.
- Leaves the lips feeling hydrated and moisturized.
- The glossiness stays for a good 6 hours which is the best I have come across.
- It leaves behind a stain in the same color.
- The lip color is non-transferable and non sticky.
- Relatively inexpensive for such an awesome product.
Cons of L’Oreal Paris Shine Caresse Lip Color in Lolita:
- I do not like the smell.
4.99/5 (only for the smell).
