Picking a right foundation is an absolute necessity for any makeup lover. It can transform your skin in seconds and make you feel like a diva on the worst skin days. I absolutely love using Maybelline Fit Me Foundation, but I wanted to explore other options in the budget range. Let’s look at this new foundation from L’Oreal which has become very popular. I don’t think it is available in India yet, but I picked it up online during my stay in US.

My Experience with L’Oreal Paris True Match Super-Blendable Makeup:
It comes in a small glass bottle with a screw-on silver cap. Yes, as a time when packaging is being becoming very vital in a product popularity, this foundation has no pump, no applicator or even a dropper. Basic product details are printed on the body of the bottle. Also, it has drug information given. The shade name and number is printed on the cap.
Coming to the texture of the product, it is a very liquid-y foundation. It feels very lightweight and the thin consistency helps you in getting a completely blended look. It has medium coverage, which can be layered or sheered for your desired coverage.
The shade I got is “W4.5 Fresh Beige” which is one shade too dark for me, but since it blends into my skin and I top it off with a mattifying powder, it looks great. The shade blends completely into my jawline, neck and hands, which are slightly darker than my original skin tone. Nevertheless, it doesn’t really look ashy or washed out on me.
L’Oreal has dedicated shades based on your undertones, so if you swatch it instead of getting it online (like I did), you will find a “true match.”
I agree that the makeup is super blendable, however, I do recommend using a primer prior to it and that’s because it has a tendency to accentuate fine lines, especially if your skin is dry or not prepped. With a primer on, it blends like a dream, with no patches or cakiness and gives “your own skin” feel. The finish is matte, so oily-skinned beauties will love the formula and performance.
Coming to its performance, it stays great for 7-8 hours but may slightly oxidize by the 7th hour. A light touch up might do the trick. It doesn’t look very sweaty or greasy at any point of time. It didn’t clog pores, break me out or cause irritation.
L’Oreal has also mentioned that since this foundation has titanium dioxide, it helps prevent sunburn. It has SPF 17, so you have light day time protection. Also, it doesn’t leave a white ashy face in photos.
