Skin Type: Oily & Sensitive
Hello beautiful ladies,
Today’s review is going to be on L’Oreal Mat Magique 12H Bright Mat Foundation. I suddenly found it at an amazing price and it turned out to be a great foundation for my oily skin. Read on to know more about it.
Price: Rs. 595/- 30ml
Product Description & Ingredient List:
My Experience with L’Oreal Mat Magique 12H Bright Mat Foundation:
Packaging: Foundation comes in a very pretty pink paper box with all the details. Actual tube looks beautiful in glossy pink color and it is easy to carry around. Small dispenser also provides right amount of product at once but the nozzle always looks messy with the foundation. Overall the packaging looks pretty girly and attractive. Also it is decently priced and I got it at very cheap price.
Shade: It comes with 5 or 6 shades and it has a nice range of light to dark shades for all skin tones. I have the shade G3. As I bought online so it was quite difficult to choose shade only with the number and the shade turned out to be a little yellow for my skin tone. I have quite neutral undertone so I prefer a mixture of pink and yellow. It is not the perfect match for my medium skin still I can work with it. G3 is good for medium skin tones with yellow undertone.
Coverage: Currently I don’t have many imperfections on my skin still it hides everything. It provides natural medium coverage and for me it is almost a full coverage. Coverage is really good for daily use and it looks natural. It evens out my skin tone with one layer and tones down the redness. It also can cover spots and my dark circles. I can skip my concealer for daily use. You can easily build up the coverage if you need. I don’t need to build it up and it provides that perfect even, spotless skin to me.
Texture & Quality: Texture is the most amazing aspect about this foundation. Like its name it is a perfect matte foundation I have ever used. It has a medium creamy texture that blends easily on skin. It feels so light on skin, even layering never makes it heavy. I used it with finger, brush and makeup sponge and it works nice with all the tools, still I would say, it works best with sponge. As the texture is quite matte and it dries out quickly so with the finger it needs a quick application but with sponge it provides that perfect smooth finish. It settles down in a perfect matte finish. It never looks patchy or never leaves any white cast on face.
It looks so natural and flawless on my skin. But if you have super dry skin then you need a moisturizer underneath it. Otherwise it might dry out your skin. On my oily skin it never feels dry. It is best for oily skin and good for summers; it might feel dry in winter. It also controls oil for around 5hrs nicely. I can skip my compact powder and still it looks perfect. It never creases or settles in fine lines. Still to avoid creasing I apply compact on my under eye area. It really looks so fresh and gorgeous. It also has SPF 11 PA+++ which provides minimal protection. But it is not enough for Indian climate. It never broke me out also.
Staying power: The foundation stays really long on my oily skin. It stays around 10hrs nicely and it never moves from its place. It keeps my skin fresh throughout the day. Only after 5hrs my T zone looks little shiny which I easily fix with a blotting paper. It also helps to control sweat to an extent. I used it yesterday and spent a long time under the sun; I did street shopping; I travelled by bus still at the end of the day my face looked so fresh and my face never looked oily. It also never creased and stayed perfectly on its place. It generally doesn’t transfer that much. So it is a truly claimed long-wear foundation.
Overall, I am super happy to have it. It is a perfect foundation for my oily skin and I love the matte finish provided by this foundation. I have used few matte foundations but this one is best matte product and it lasts so long, almost a whole day wear foundation. I love everything related to it. This has become my go-to foundation now. But it is not great option for dry skin so can’t suggest to my dry skinned beauties. In the FOTD I have applied only the foundation without concealer and I also skipped my compact.

Will I Recommend/Repurchase L’Oreal Mat Magique 12H Bright Mat Foundation?
I must buy it again in my right shade and I am highly recommending this to oily and normal beauties but not to dry beauties. They can buy it for summer and/or use with a moisturizer.
