My Experience With L’Oreal Paris Infallible 24H Matte Foundation:

After finishing two bottles of L’Oreal True Match Foundation, I went ahead and bought this one. I’ve tried L’Oreal Infallible 24H Stay Fresh Foundation and L’Oreal Paris Infallible Pro-Matte 24-Hr Foundation from the Infallible range and both have worked fine for me. When it comes to foundations, I feel L’Oreal never disappoints, and their products are always decently priced.

Now, let’s talk about the L’Oreal Paris Infallible 24H Matte Foundation. This one comes in a nice convenient tube, which has a thin, pointed nozzle. The nozzle drops the perfect amount of foundation, according to how much pressure you apply on the tube. This kind of packaging definitely saves product wastage. I like how every tube from this range provides the description of texture and coverage. This description made my job of selecting the right foundation easier. It’s easy to check if it’s a medium coverage foundation or a high coverage foundation by quickly referring the description.

The consistency of the foundation is on the thinner side, but it is a usable consistency that isn’t runny. I like how the shades from this range have been named like Vanilla, Radiant Beige, Golden Beige etc and not C1, N2, OR C6. This, in fact, helped me chose the right foundation and I was sure of buying the shade Gold Beige as it sounded good to me.

When I first tried the foundation on my hand I liked how it made my skin tone even and my skin soft. As I went on to try this on my face with the help of my Lottie London Kabuki Babe Brush, it perfectly evened out my skin tone and enhanced my complexion. My skin felt light and didn’t feel heavy at all. For me, it’s a high coverage foundation and it does everything it claims. This is going to be perfect for someone with oily skin as it is sweat-resistant as well.

Just a few drops of the foundation are required and you’re done with the job. A little goes a long way and it blends quite easily. But if you try applying more amount of foundation it is going to make your face look cakey even after you blend it well. I haven’t really taken the 24 hours test for this foundation as I make sure I remove my makeup before I sleep. But this definitely stays for a long period of time. I once applied it in the morning and it didn’t wear off until I slept in the night.

Of course, it didn’t look as fresh, but yes, my skin was able to hold the foundation until night. I am not much impressed by the colour of the foundation as it has orange undertones to it. Hence, I do not get a perfectly natural look with this shade. My face looks decent since the foundation does not cake up but it still has the look of foundation because of this issue. But, that could be a shade issue or the fact that I like dewy foundations more than matte ones.

This isn’t a flat matte foundation at all and it has a velvety finish. It perfectly hides all the blemishes and dark patches of my skin. I don’t feel the need to apply a concealer as this is already high coverage. Applying a moisturizer and primer is a must before you apply this foundation as this doesn’t hydrate your skin and may accentuate the fine lines. People with dry skin may not like this much and generally foundations with dewy finish are best suited for them. If you still desire to have this one for the quality it delivers, moisturising your skin and prepping it before application is a good idea.

Will I Repurchase/Recommend L’Oreal Paris Infallible 24H Matte Foundation?
I may not repurchase this foundation as I like satin finish or dewy finish more when it comes to foundations. But it was a good try. I highly recommend this foundation to people with oily and combination skin types. People with dry skin can skip this one.
